I remember a couple of weeks ago ppl on destro saying that SM was going to get spammed now bc they were buffed so much.

Yeah, hasn't happened, still too few tanks on Order and for that matter, Black Orcs are still everywhere and pair excellently with Choppa for melee dmg train.

I don't want Knight to get "balanced." The devs chopped up 2h knight pretty bad and I don't care to see SnB get the same treatment.

Same goes for IB, it is what it is. Maybe increase duration of some buffs but to keep the forums from raging the devs would take something in return that would hurt the class too badly.

So thanks but no thanks to any more balancing for Order tanks which already have few players.

You just don't summon geared SM out of the blue. The ppl who play still prob focus on their main toons or other toons. We acually fought a wb with SW, SM and AM today in our smallscale and they seem to do absolutely fine. Very hard to kite such a grp with all the snares etc. and aswell as easily spamable with Sm onebutton Waaagh

Fully agree on the ''leave the knights and chosens alone'' the classes are fun and chill to play, I play all tankclasses and I love the fact you can pick which style you prefer. Knight is incredibly relaxed as snb and the 2h is pretty butchered, but still works out due to its kd and kb on demand and no parry or block is recuired.

did 16 Scens (pug) with 24 vs 24 instances and saw only one tank on order side in 16 games... so yea all order tanks got slot in wb pt or what ever cos there are so low population... dont tink is preformance problem its looks, destro tanks just look cooler...

Ive seen 48IBs snapped up and grabbed well ahead of 82 sov Whs and shads

order tank models are a disappointment, they are about as attractive and appealing as a rainy day in Grimsby, they are thin and uninspiring like a pint of Greene King IPA.
the destro tanks are big, chunky, look badass and colourful like Kane and Undertaker from WWE meets the Dallas Cowboys while drinking Hambleton NIghtmare Stout.

High Elf tank should look like Fingolfin when he fought Morgoth toe to toe, but they look like Julian Clary's lovechild with a Dalek
Ironbreaker should look like RamMan from the 1980s He-Man cartoon but the male version looks like some tiny tit with a beard and the female IB looks like Jimmy Krankie
KOTBS should look like Conan in Full Plate and Packing Steel, but he looks like jeremy Corbyn in italian tin foil with peacock parade feathers.

Would be lovely if devs could beef up the Order tank models, give more armour piece volume so colours could be bold and plentiful.

Closets Order have to the Black Ork armour colour assault is Krubbs' weekly colour scheme change.

Yeah, knights could be looking like Teutons and they are so dandyish parody with this huge arrangement on the top of their heads. And SMs are like ice skaters not fierce front line warriors.

I started all 3 tanks on the Order side but appearances of the Knight and SM are just meh.

Honestly the only reason I don't play order is that the races/classes aren't very appealing to me. Like I get that they are mirors of other classes that I do play but they look stupid. And sadly looking cool, feeling cool and rule of cool are a big thing. Empire (God how I wish we could actually be a bear shaman from kislev or one of their baba's / warriors) is lame, high elves are lame (Dark elves ain't much better) and dwarves are and have never been my thing. On the side of destruction they have greenskins one of my favorite races, next to lizardmen, kislev and the ogre kingdoms respectively. Im not the biggest fan of Tzeentch and prefer Khorne or Slaanesh and the fact all of chaos is Tzeentch themed in both kits and looks just mehs for me. (Nothing wrong with em, I love em just not so much to main them.) So really I just end up being a greenie.

If order had vampire counts, lizardmen, ogres, kislev as playable classes with their own unique stuff? I'd play them. Id main order. But I just have no desire to be a dwarf/elf/pompous looking string bean (Empire). I mean I do like the white lion, because the lore and nature of the class is cool and even though Im a bear lover the cool massive armor rending cat beasts they get are really neat if you know about them. I honestly wish there was more diversity in race choices/class choices and I've said this from the beginning Mythic **** up. They had the richest setting, with so much they could do and they went straight to Warcraft/Tolkien in terms of what races could've been playable.

And after having played total war warhammer for years now, I never realized how shafted we were. I mean WHERE is the playable beastmen? Or skaven for destruction? The lizardmen and such for order? You can't tell me they couldn't the beastmen have models in game and the skaven were shafted. The greenskins ALONE could of comprised a third faction with the ogres as mercenaries to help even the odds if one side got too popular.

I barely play now because Im so sick of being on destro, I'd LOVE to fight for the other side for once but I can't get passed the fact that aesthetically and such none of order appeals to me. Whether it be the nature in which the class looks/feels or just the fact I Feel out of place. Maybe if they ever add new classes/races for the factions they can address this player; I'd love to fight alongside the boys of light for a bit but they gotta make me something I can vibe with. And order right now? That ain't it chief.

(Honestly greenskins are the best, I love em. To death. It's just a shame out of all the races they themselves seem to be the most unique and sure chaos might be a close second but... c'mon all tzeentch? I want my duel wielding chosen from the trailer.... in khorne armor with lifesteal and high mobility. Wana scream "Skulls for the skull throne" and really feel like it'd fit. I don't want to be paired with a temperamentally psychopathic mollusk. At least not all the time.)

I'd say this is more accurate. I found Slayer appearances to be a bit lacklustre. I don't think slayers look bad, but they just have little customisation after about level 16. No shortage of slayers.#

Of course, the 2-2-2 configuration means you will always need tanks and heals, more so than dps, where you have 6 classes on each side competing for 2 spots. A major issue is that you can never swap out one tank for a healer or dps.

While satisfying to see your target fly miles, I think aoe punts and KDs are way more useful than long range punts, maybe in certain SCs long range punts is a game changer. I kind of feel that almost nothing else really matters to a tank in warbands besides AoE crowd control (other than general tankiness and finding a good dps to guard). I certainly think if devs boosted the AoE CC for the non-Chosen/KotBS classes, they'd be more useful in warbands, and it would not really be debatable.

I'd say main balance issues are between dps classes (not just in terms of destro vs order, but the fact many dps classes struggle to find a role and some warbands only ask for 2 of 6 classes to bother even asking to join).

Oh god we found one of the problem children who run in dand give whole warbands free immunity for no reason. AOE punt has its place. When the train is on your healer or dps, when you can aoe punt half the wb off a bridge and thats about it. Pretty much any other use of AOE punt will just piss off most of your WB. The worst are the SMs who aoe punt right before a moral drop.

Worst tanks in the game due to the lack of single target punt with 2h and poor utility.

Veterans with a long memory might recall that the old meta at 6v6 was mobility and the SM M1 leap ability was traditionally considered especially OP. Elven 6 mans were considered practically unbeatable due to their mobility. Unless it is has changed, that leap ability is very very useful on a tank in small-scale (especially 2h). Black orc players were particularly annoyed since their M1 is pretty worthless in comparison.

Wings has been nerfed in range and was really only good against destro kite groups. In ranked its near useless.

I felt just like you when I saw the forum post that they have plans for Chosen/Kotbs changes. But still I dont think team would want to change them for the worse, if they are overperforming by all means nerf them but the overperformance of these classes is not coming from they are being OP, its because all other tanks lack the group utility Chosen/Kotbs offer they are already aura bots many consider boring to play as SnB(which I disagree because that offers more window for focusing on better timed punts, cc, better placed bellows etc.) anyway at the end of the day we will wait and see.
