Ranked - Can't take pops in combat

Hi, it has happened to me twice that I have been solo roaming while queuing for ranked, received a pop, and not been able to take the pop because I have been in combat. I have desperately tried to allow the enemies to kill me in time, or for me to kill them in time, but when you have 2 def tanks with perma snare on you it is really hard to take that 60s pop. This happened to me just now, losing 145 mmr, from 829 to 684, plus receiving 20m quitter. I was at rank 5, now suddenly rank 17. This is a massive drop that is equivalent to winning around 3-4 matches in a row...

It would be very appreciated if IT WOULD BE MADE POSSIBLE to
take the ranked pop while in combat as well
, in the same way you are ported out of combat when a ranked match is starting, I don't see how this would be a controversial change.

It would simply promote more people to not AFK in city while waiting for pops. Also can I PLEASE have my mmr back lol.

i understand that there's a problem, but porting you out of a fight is imho no option. This can be abused hardly.

It already happens. You get ported out of mid-fight if you had accepted pop before.

Does the "Yes, But give me a minute" work to extend the timer as much as possible?

This already happens. If you have taken a ranked pop, and the game starts lets say 1 minute later and you are fighting. You get ported out of combat. This is how the system works today. So why not also accept the pop while in combat? When you have taken the pop YOU EXPECT BEING PORTED. When you have not received the pop YOU DONT KNOW if you can be engaged in combat or not. It makes more sense if it would work the other way around.

It makes no sense. And no this is not going to be abused hard given that ranked pops are not very common.

I did use it ofc, but it is not just enough against 2 def tanks. I was in def regen build myself and was ready to use the mastery respec upon entering the ranked pop. But with perma snare, 1 tank mounting up to chase you as you focus mind flee, theres sometimes just no way to disengage. Therefore I am just trying to suggest to make it possible to take the ranked pop while in combat too, and think I have laid out a good convincing argument for why this should be possible.

Almost lost pop myself because of dots keeping me in combat after fight...Since then Ive been reluctant to roam while in que.

I'm sorry but hoping to get a ranked pop as a predictable means of teleporting will not happen and those that use it as a teleporting means to then not engage in the ranked match will swiftly be reported anyway. I am just trying to suggest ways to improve the player experience for solo roamers that also like to do Ranked. I know many solo roamers who thinks there are many barriers to joining ranked. A previous one was that you can't change spec. This has been resolved. This is another barrier, not even a controversial change.

Yes, only what u need - wait 0-30 minutes in prime time to get pop. Easy abuse.
