[question]Stats

I am planning my char and wish to know some thing about stats:

Thoughness: Does it reduce ALL damage? or just physical? And concerning the amount of damage reduced is flat or applies to all attacks or only on white attacks?
(from the wiki: Toughness
The effect of Toughness is independent of any other stat and is not capped by the attacker's offensive stat. Toughness will negate attack damage down to a minimum of 1.)

Magic/melee power: are those stats that stack on top of basic ones? (int and str)? How to get it?
concerning caps: i read from wiki that

The soft cap is calculated by

soft cap = (level * 25) + 50

and equals 1050 for level 40 characters. Attribute gains beyond the soft cap are reduced by half. Meaning that you need to invest 2 attribute points to effectively gain 1 attribute points. For example if you want to increase an attribute from 1050 to 1100 you need to gain 100 attribute points.

The hardcarp is calculated by

hard cap = (level * 50) + (level * 10 + 50)

and equals 1650 for level 40 characters. Attribute gains beyond the hard cap do not have any effect for player characters.
so it means going over soft cap is worthless?

Initiative: as per defensive stat, how much is the usual initiative needed?

I think Initiative is around 250 or so, plus some -%crit chance gear / renown points.

Toughness, afaik, will negate any dmg from skills scaling with offensive attributes (str/int/bs).
morales, some tactics and skills does not scale with attributes so will ignore toughness.

The Power stats counts as their str/int/bs versions, has a separate softcap, but does not help the evasion calculations.

Initiative, depends on your class, but there's debuffs taking 80-120 ini so you can check the graph on wiki and see where that puts you in terms of chance to be crit. 250-300 is a good enough range I think.
