I stopped queing because i don't want to join that discord.
But tbh a player in bad gear is a bigger problem then me not joining voicechat.
It seems voicechat is for some people more disctraction then help.
They talk and talk and don't swap guard

I can't believe it.
First you block NB and now you allow discord to be used on solo ranked? LoL.
If for example two people from the same guild occasionally enter the same SC there is no problem. But if the whole group is solo ranked in voice chat it is no longer solo ranked but more 6vs6.

Its a 6v6 fight. Ofc communication should be allowed

Realisticly, how would the devs "ban" or not allow players to use comms during a ranked match? im just curious.
Surely they could not promote it, but then the players who were going on their guild discords or stacking from friendslists have the advantage by being on comms over those who were not.

Discord solo queue is not for everyone, but atleast there is a platform for players to go talk to their randomly matches teammates now. And its not just the guild-stacks who can communicate while ranking

This is exactly the point. Lets remain realistic here, the ranked playing community is very small so the chance to meet someone you knew, with whom you had already been playing using discord is very high. So this way, making it "official" that people can and should use coms in Soloq makes it actually more "fair".

It's your choice to join a RANKED game and not go into discord to coordinate. Why should be a problem if not everyone wanna be casual like you? THen don't forget the importance of this discord being able to talk freely and insult who deserve it without the big brother watching you and punishing.

If you don't like organized enviroment just don't que ranked.

Whether you believe it is reasonable or not, the vitriolic behavior that is seen on the Discord server will:

1. Discourage people from joining the Discord.
2. Discourage people from playing Ranked.

Coincidentally, not a day goes by that I don't hear people complaining about players not joining the Discord or the queues being too long.

Ranked is too awesome to let its population die out because players are essentially forced to join an unmoderated Discord server where people too childish to take a loss in stride get a free pass to channel their inner Id.
