ATM WL Pet works better (not good), although a well placed jump can still confuse the kitty no end. I can go Guardian again without the Pet doing the most horrible things. This is pretty much equivalent to the way it was in life.

NO IT WAS NOT THIS WAY IN LIVE. The change they made in the spring BROKE the pet and it is useless until you can jump off anything and have your pet next to you. If anything they needed to buff / fix pets and make them more swift. I think giving the lion a speed boost of maybe like 20% or so would work as way help alleviate some of the issue while a more permanent fix is underway. As it stands the pet just can not catch up anything that is not right in front of its face, even then if the target flees over any type of ledge or cliff, as they tend to do, the pet just loses it's mind as it tries to find a way to run down, instead of just like you know dropping down like the WL / enemy just did. Again using the ekrund SC as an example because its full of verticality, dropping off the ledge down to where the center flag is just makes the lion freak out. You would think that the 'pathing' would make it just run down the rubble to the left and yes it does that sometimes, but if the target gets far enough back it will change it mind midway and head back to the side BOs to try to use the ramps where it will do one of three things: Give up the chase and return to the WL, Despawn because its existence is pain, or continue to chase and not catch the target until one of the first two happen.

Limiting player pets to player pathfinding is an illogical thing to do considering pets can't jump pounce and slide from cliffs, click postern or keep doors.. etc like players do when needed. I can't just understand why it is that hard to see this simple fact for those who are responsible for the discussed change. With the current situation only possible solution is to bind pet to 5ft-10ft of player all the time but than WL fetch will be useless. So, don't know why pet movement was messed with in the first place. Limiting npcs and mobs to player pathfinding is understandable but limiting player pets is just illogical.
