A few months ago in the name of pet pathfinding fix, all pet pathing got broken and left as such for a few months. Then last month in patch notes it said that it was fixed, but it only fixed a small issue that led to pet dismissing, not the core issue with how stupid pathfinding became in jump situations.
Currently (especially for melee pets) pathing is abysmal. Pet pathing is the worst I have seen in any game atm. They can not jump over a small wall to reach their target. If the target jumps over a tiny branch, they go back and attempt to walk around and recalculate their pathfinding. If target jumps down, pet wont jump after it. GIven pet's movespeed is same as players, in any given PvP situation possibility of pet actually staying on top of their target during a fight against an opponent jumping around is... close to 0 percent.
Is there even an acknowledgement of the situation? Is it still being looked at? Or is that it from now on? Where we are doomed to keep loner tactic from now on?
If it is being looked at, can you at least put a bandaid on it until you solve it? As in give the base pet speed 25% boost so it can at least **maybe** reach its target.
Also Why was it ***FIXED** in the first place many months ago? What was wrong with it that made the current abysmal situation worth? Can't we just go back to the original code from before?
If you need to fix it with proper coding instead allowing to snap to target, then give melee pets a 5sec CD pounce skill. Otherwise just revert back to code from several months ago. It is so annoying to play WL and not use a pet; or use one and gimp yourself..

Someone from the team came back, wanted to fix it and heard they left the pets worse off than before. Pets are broken and devs don't want to roll back the changes. I think it is more likely the current dev's can't roll back or fix the problems. Because why would you let a pet class system be 100% broken for 4 months???
