Old player coming back... some questions.

Hi all,

I'm an old player and just have a few questions mainly around planning my road to gearing up.

1. Weapon - Are scenario emblems still the way to get the best weapon for each class ? Are there better weapons in a quest/dungeon now?
2. Armor - I know you get medallions from RVR , I remember the progression is Annihilator--Conqueror--Vanquiser--Invader--Warlord--Sovereign. Anyone mind telling me how to get the medals for Invader--Warlord--Sov?
3. I logged in quick and saw Triumphant gear , how you obtain this ?
4. Any thing else anyone can think of? When I left we had Conqueror gear as a reference.

1. Not always, SC weapons are usually solid but most DPS classes use bloodlord instead and BB/BE ones have some unique procs that make them better even with worse raw stats and damage. Both of those are dungeon weapons and they are definitely good. There are also fortress weapons/shields some classes can use, for Invader medallions, but they are usually rather similar to SC ones and quite often (but not always) worse.
2. You get every type of medallion from oRvR, with a twist that last two types come in form of shards you can exchange for real currency 5:1 ratio. That being said both Invader medallions are royal crests have their own special methods of obtaining. You get Invader medallions for participating in forts, which are maps at the end of campaign after locking t4 endzones by opposing faction and royals you mostly get from cities, which if you're using live as reference are wholly different now. That being said you get both types of currency from zone lock bags, in much smaller numbers but still.
3. By participating in ranked scenarios, which are controlled 6v6 kill only scenarios played with endgame or at least good gear and preferably with voice Comms. There's a guide to ranked scenarios somewhere on the forum, you can check it out if you're interested, and should you still be interested after reading it try getting ranked discord address and possibly ask for tips there, chances are you will get serious answers. Gear itself is worse than sov in terms of stats but uses jewellery slot 3 and might hold sentinel talismans, so it's theoretically best in slot for most classes.
4. I'm a fairly new player, I'll leave this to someone else mostly. Dwarf/ork cities were released and lotd is being tested, that's new for sure.
