Potions prices are insane now ; like 7x original price for vanquisher ones.
Now if you buy AP/HPpotions, you greatly slow down your gear acquisition, even at low level.
Please make potions that are bought by pack of 10, even 25, for same price ; 1 war crest for 1 recruit potion is utter madness...
Or make potions not bound on pickup, to create economic opportunities, and help people with rerolls.
Or make them buyable for gold (as previous poster suggested), since now you can complete weekly tasks that gives you gold it will make sense.

Balance Changes
- Witchbrew damage now matches tooltip. Previously it would get both higher damage and increased number of stacks with more blood lust points spent.
No it didnt...the damage increased per bloodlust was impacted by Frenzied Mayhem tactic as it should.

Honestly this is the worst gatekeeping. Grind got awefull not sure if i want to spent my time getting farmed by sov ppl in my crap gear for like 300 hours till im competitve. Seems like its time for a new Game

The changes sound great in general and should allow for more flexibility.
I'm not a huge fan of parts of the execution though. A quick look at my lvl 40 chars for illustration:
- SM and WH are both RR80 have a couple of thousands war crest and are happy that they can buy new sov pieces or even triumphant gear.
- Engi is 70 and has mixed feelings. If I had known that I could use the new currency to buy Triumphant gear as well I might have not bought the first three pieces of invader two days ago.
- RP is 57 with 3/6 vanq and annoyed. He has 920 war crest, but has to get six pieces of annihilator (not sure why he doesn't have any pieces) and two pieces of conqueror to continue with the vanquisher set.
- SW is 44 with 4/6 and is annoyed as well. He has just 97 war crests in the bank but now has to buy four pieces of mercenary and three pieces of annihilator to continue his conqueror journey.
It would have been good to know that you changed your mind about buying ranked gear and even more so that "buy pieces you can afford before the patch" also meant "buy the whole set below the set you currently want so your low level char's progression won't be stuck".

I would suggest revamp of NPC potions after introducing new currency. Imo should make potions buy as full 40 Stack and then tune price accordingly. 1.8 Heal pot that before was costing 1 Annihilator crest now cost 5 War Crest which would convert to 5 Vanq Medallions, thats kinda harsh. Also would finally fix potions distrubution over NPCs and fix 110 AP pot that has 2 completly different cost (4 WC and 5 WC).
Overall cost increase in pieces is generally fine imo, maybe Subjugator/Fortress weapon is kinda brutal if you didnt get it before re-work.

it is a completely different system with different rates of gaining currency. This is only true if the lowbie toon has a warband that can boost it, otherwise the progress is still as slow as ever. (Even with a random wb)
New players don't have to learn the different types of currencies that is true.
Also i still don't understand why the conversation rates for scout and recruit medallions were so garbage. like 80 recruit emblem got turned into exactly 0 war crests on my t1 toon, even though that was more than enough to get the braggart set that now costs 68 (!) war crests. It's not a high number, but if someone had more than enough embles to get the set, why did it convert to 0 WC. If a new player just started recently and their toon was still in tier 1, i wouldn't be surprised if the person just left the game entirely. Really bad execution for low lvl currency conversion.
And that's why we announced it 1.5 weeks in advance and recommended players to buy gear they could afford before the patch.

Open World Campaign & City Sieges
City Sieges have been changed to be scheduled every 3 days instead of occurring after two forts have been captured. Each fortress taken gives your realm one campaign point. The realm with more campaign points when the city siege occurs will siege the enemy capital. In the event that both realms have the same number of campaign points the city to be sieged will be determined randomly.
When the city siege occurs you will have 10 minutes to queue up, then all instances will spawn at once at the end of the queue timer.
The exact hour the city siege will happen randomized with a weighted random based on population stats. So while it can occur at any hour of the day there's a higher chance it will occur at times with a higher population online.
One or two forts are always kept in a locked state to enable attackers to reach the enemy city gates. When a new fort is taken the previously locked pairing resets to tier 2 again.
The extra realm lockout when participating in a fortress is removed.
There was something really cool with the concept that if you want end-game content (cities) to happen, you can just make it happen whenever you want (at least in theory): just gather people and push zones. Pushing zones -> take forts -> get in city was pretty much the core idea of the game since the beginning and made the campaign great. Now there is very little incentive to push campaign. All you get is zone locks and some campaign points for the future which might be totally useless for you if city happens weird time for you. Also even with the semi-rng system NA and Oceanic ppl might have hard time getting in cities.
I can see why some people want to change game in a way that more organized 24's vs 24's happen in cities but pretty much killing the campaign on the way there is too extreme imho. Honestly this just feels like Gravord and co are turning this game into their personal playground which is probably not good for the RoR project as whole.
