Would it be feasible for me to temporarilty put a character from my main account onto an alt account? So that my friend can play a high end character of mine.

I think thatd be sweet. There are lots of toons on my account that are neglected by me, but they are very attractive to my friends/family/gf.

I think this would be a great addition to the game.

I don't think it is a good idea.
Sure it would be comfortable, especially in your case.

But the amount of work to make such a feature/option and as well ... let's call it "bad aftermath" of such a feature could be disastrous to server and/or faction balance.
Such a function would also make it easy to "sell" characters ... don't really like the idea.

Why not start a new one character with your friend and enjoy low-midtier together? You can still support your duo fun with potions, talis, gold?

Rr80 full sov is a month (if you work 9-5). And they can learn to play otw.

No. RR80 Full Sov playing 4-8 hours a day would take you around 2-3 months. And that's not even BiS for most classes.

We don't need a lot of discussion on this topic. It's not going to happen and would only open up a litany of issues the TOS already covers regarding shared accounts.

Make your own characters, play your own characters. Don't play on accounts you didn't create or have been shared with someone else. The breadcrumbs in event of TOS violations will lead back to you.
