Dyeing the undyeable

My black orc sovereign back piece is undyeable (like many other classes sov back pieces), but it can be dyed with vendor colors when you select "dye all". Meaning I can have an event cape as appearance item in my sov back piece and have it colored even though the original item cannot be. The problem is I want to dye it something else than vendor colors. Is there a way to do it?

I would love if someone figures out a way because this limitation is very irksome to my fashionhammer. I wanted to use the Harvest cloak as appearance over my bloodlord cloak, not only bc the bloodlord one doesn’t go well with the rest of my look but also because the harvest one is BEAUTIFUL when dyed red. I was so disappointed to discover I could no longer dye my beautiful silken cloak skin once applied to the bloodlord cloak. I did in the end go for the vendor dye trick but it hurt me to do so - I don’t like the vendor dyes much and not a single one of them really was right with the rest of my getup. Really a bummer as I was so pumped to have my bloodlord cloak.

Not to mention - the cloak is very important in fashionhammer, should you choose to display one. It’s the largest item you wear AND its the one you’re staring at the entire time you play. If only 1 piece of gear should be highly customizable, it’s the cloak.
