How does gear works now?
How does gear works now?
Hi guys, I'm back after almost two years and I see things changed a bit while I was not around. I'm leveling a new character (a Kotbs) and I would like to know how the gear progression works now and your opinion about what gear is useful and what is not. What wards do I need to wear Sov gear? Is Bloodlord enough or do I need Invader? Should I try to get every wards or should I save my War Crests? For instance: is Vanquisher still performing well enough or is it just a waste of WCs and I should instead aim for sentinel?

You can read more about Wards here : https://wiki.returnofreckoning.com/WardsYsaran wrote: Mon Apr 03, 2023 6:55 am Hi guys, I'm back after almost two years and I see things changed a bit while I was not around. So, to unlock Sovereign gears, you need all the previous Wards.
Also, it will depends of what you want to do with your character. If you are looking to play 2H, Bloordlord (mix with other gears) is a good start. If you want to play S/B, Vanquisher is really good and is worth the crests used. Invader can be good but it can be skipped.
If you have a team and/or the patience to do PvE, you can start doing Gunbad to unlock the Conqueror Ward and get the Red Eye set. With it, mixed with Ruin, you can tank all the dungeons and skip Vanquisher/Invader and save your crest. But, it will not be the best mix if you want to do RvR as S/B.
