PvE - Dungeon Currency

I think it would help alot of people who like to do PVE to either further develop the possibilities of War Tokens or to introduce a real PvE Dungeon currency to the game.

Why this is good?
It would allow you to grind dungeons to progress your gear.
You would have an easier way to find others to do PVE dungeons to kill bosses you are not locked out.

What could I spend this currency on?
Things that you could buy from dungeon currency: talisman for your Sentinel Jewelry, set items, potions, liniments.

Many times the difficulty to fill the remaining spots for a dungeon group is to find the people who are interested to kill the same bosses you want to kill.
Not because of the lockouts, but for example someone who don't need Redeye set from Gunbad, will only want to focus to spend time doing Dungeons for the sets he/she still doesn't have.
You would still need the wards to equip the highest set, so even if you manage to kill all the PvE bosses in the game available you would still have to complete all the sets to wear the highest set available.

If this currency is being added as a new thing it would revitalize PvE dungeons and would make easier to fill your groups.

inb4 people start crying how in their time pve was harder, and this would make it even easier, and that's not fair in 3, 2, 1.....

No matter how it used to be. Currently, it's actually hard to do your PVE runs to get your sets full.

Yesterday a group spent 4 hours looking for a tank to run C&T and I also had to wait quite a long time on the weekend. And putting together a HV run before the last event was also difficult.
I would have been happy to jump in with one of my tanks, only they don't need anything more from the PVE dungeons.

An account-based PVE currency would at least be a solution to this problem.

There are few fundamental issues with what you want to achieve, first if you use the PQ currency with dungeon settings then you are allowing for:
-Skipping dungeons by PQ farming (further reducing the amount of people doing dungeons)
-If you give too many crests per dungeon people will use it to buy the lv200 vials/containers
-Faster ward progression (now you dont have to wait 4 days to skip ward instead you just waste 8h of your life farming PQ's)

Second, if you create new currency that is shared among all dungeons then you introduce possibility of people doing the fastest dungeon combo (bb/be) instead of doing other instances.

Soo coming back to the issue with "people dont play it", the EASIEST AND BEST solution would be to introduce dungeon specific gems that you can then exchange for armor piece AND armor sets now have offsets. This way you can make sure that both healers and tanks who are not interested in offrole sets are interested in dungeons due to possibility of getting mainrole sets. + make sure that every lv40 dungeon gives you stalwart.

As for other viable solutions you have (in my opinion):
- Making it easier (causing solo farmers to have easier time)
- Missions that would grant you a event slot item if you finish dungeon in X time (Just like gold bag from HV) (you could move the week rvr reward onto dungeons or perhaps give something different in dungeons)
- Create a mission that rewards you with mount token for 7 days and put a shop with some fancy mounts that decay every 7 days.
- Remove the lockout. (rise of farmers, the same issue as the first one)
- Add a weekly PVE event that would give you PVE crests, vials/containers/stalwart, gold bags. (This one in my opinion might have 2nd biggest impact after making sure that every dungeon set is viable for mainrole and offrole)

Thanks for the quality afterthought. I agree with most points you mentioned.

Yes I agree this should be a completly different currency then War Tokens.
To keep the discussion nice and constructive lets stick with the term: "Dungeon Currency"
So this currency since now you can only "farm" in dungeons knocks out the issues you mentioned.
Does it equals to faster ward progression - absolutetly. I don't think fast ward progression is an issue. It is already fast once you are able to clear all the dungeons. The issue is you have a hard time to find the same people that needs the same dungeons these days to clear them.
This also translates to what you are saying, people will choose the easiest and fastest way to get all the wards/sets.
Once you obtained all the sets/weapons/influence rewards there is only a low incentive to help others to complete the dungeons again, this is ofcourse to get a weekly dungeon run to get a sentinel talisman.
Which you can also get by doing the weekly rvr elite reward anyway.

My suggestion still is you should get somekind of PvE currency to progress your wards if you help others to do the dungeons which you not necessarily need and where you don't have a lockout. This does further accelerate ward progression, but i think it is pretty fast nowdays anyway.

- Making it easier = I think the dungeons are pretty easy to do already. But to have an option to set the dungeon difficulty could be an interesting feature.

- Create a mission that rewards you with mount token for 7 days and put a shop with some fancy mounts that decay every 7 days. = I would preffer the dungeon currency to be used here. You could buy all/or some of the mounts from events.

- Add a weekly PVE event that would give you PVE crests, vials/containers/stalwart, gold bags. = I 100% agree with this idea, we were discussing this on discord after I posted and we also came to this conclusion.

As a veteran, that will often help out on dungeon runs (tanked the above mentioned "4 hours" for a second tank run), making a dungeon currency, really would kill GB, CH22 and probably BS and CT (Order would farm HV and Destro would farm HV/BBBE), unless it includes big boosts to not running the same again with a longer cooldown/lockout.

PVE "RoR/PQ" crests is close to useless and at best converts to gold past Ruin, vials/containers, gold bags --> also converts to just gold (and players running the group can just give that themselves), obviously better than nothing.
The dungeon themselves also provide significant gold, so adding more, probably won't do much.

Stalwart stone is great and does save War crests (but personally miss most cities these days and no ranked, so not really huge if I run out on 1 char and already have many weeks worth stored up), the quests for these should be converted to X number of end bosses in dungeon rather the specific bosses.
Event Slot item would be great (saves war crests).
War Crests (+gear progression past bloodlord/invader) / Renown potion would also be great (saves war crests and boost progression to make up for lost time).


So.. I'd like to see a monthly event granted after completing Invader ward..

Monthly Dungeon Event

Tasks:
1. Kill 3 Gunbad end bosses (one full run)
2. Kill 4 CT / BBBE end bosses (one full run)
3. Kill 3 BS end bosses (one full run)
4. Kill 12 dungeons end bosses (~4 full runs, can be any including HV and BL counting for 2).
5. Complete all above tasks

Rewards:
Basics (1 task): 25x War Crests or 1x Renown Potion
Advanced (2 tasks): 50x War Crests or 1x Stalwart Stone
Elite (5 tasks):75x War Crests or 1x Weekly "Ranked" Event Slot Item (3 choices)

This will give an incentive for those who have complete their dungeons runs to help out, without impacting the desirability of any of the dungeons.
With a few more veterans helping out, more runs will be smooth and lead to less frustration and quitting :)

This is also not significant in terms of "pvp" progress, a. you don't get renown, b. the War crests you can get is gained at about 25-40 crests / hour, roughly equal to a bad pug orvr warband or losing most SC.
