I played about 15 scenarios between 2 characters last night for the destro side. We did not win even 1.
My question is this, is this normal for destro, like a right of passage? Or is it just a myriad of other things like the guild groups and such? If you can provide a bit of detail to help me better understand I appreciate it.
I did try and search on the boards for this answer before posting.
Thank you for your time.

Re: Not a complaint. New player question for t1 scenaeios
It's just the obvious low-tech answer. There's no matchmaking. If you want to win, you need to coordinate with your team better than the other side does with their team. There are a lot of things that you can do personally, but if the rest of your team isn't, things get a lot harder.
Insert all the normal ways you would win a PvP match. Coordination, good mix of class roles, level appropriate gear with talismans, buffs active, shot calling, etc. You don't normally need all of that to win T1 matches, but if the other side is doing it, then you would need to do it to keep up.

Pretty much what Wargrim said, it'll be better in T2 as it's got a bigger pop pool. And you can group with anyone from 16-39 to form a premade. It makes it a lot better for levelling in SC's.

There're 2 type of scenarios, discordant and standard.
In discordant you can only queue up by yourself and serve the group you're put in. You're matched by other solos. Players have low control of the game mode and randomness is big part of the outcome because there's no matchmaking.
The other scenarios can be queued alone, but also in group. So if you join alone you can meet other players grouped up together before queuing for the match. In this case players have more control of the game mode and grouping up lowers the randomness of the outcome.
Killboard is a good tool to check if it's a good time to queue up or not.

Re: Not a complaint. New player question for t1 scenaeios
due to no matchmaking an organised group has a massive advantage. I've lost count of the times Order has lost an SC because of one premade 6-man with 2/2/2 on destro side and no healers on Order side or no tanks, etc.
