Pet companion?

Been in Altdorf for the first time. Saw a merchant selling a dog pet/companion, it says it will fight alongside me.
But it requires a strange currency, a token or something. Any way i can get it? Or are there any quests I, as white lion, can complete to get a companion?

It won't. It's just flavour text. After you go into RVR you can't spawn your pet. It's purely a PVE thing. Shame really. Then again I think it's to reduce lag. The only way to get a combat pet is to be a White Lion or Squig herder.

Ok I see...but then again, even if it's for pve it will do, I'm leveling now so need any help I can get, how do I get this pet? If you know?

Now afaik you could gain pet only from some upcomming live event

You can get some pets from twitch drops or live events. They're purely cosmetic, so they don't help you battle or rvr in any way, even in PvE.

There may also be some ideas floating behind the scenes right now for more pet stuff in the future, but no real news there until things get a bit further along!
