People tend to use this tactic more often now. They see that the aao is gone and the chances of a successful keep capture is low and just leave the keep and the door at low percentage without opening it to not give the defenders any rewards.
I think it is a bit of a lame strategy and players on the defending site hate it. It was a successful defense but no rewards are being granted. It's also a lot harder to restore a low % door than it is to recover opened doors after a successful def.
When attackers are leaving a damaged door then it should give a reward tick to the defenders after a while and restore the door again - like it is for destroyed doors. At least when the door is < 50%.
The attacked side is almost always the underdog with less players. Don't they deserve the reward for a successful defense when they are anyway having a hard time to get any kills or rewards?

Knock door down low, leave it. Kill ram. Wait for defenders to get bored, spawn a ram and take down the remainder before defenders show up and damage inner. Now they have a much harder time getting in.
This is the only useful strat for this. Anyrhing else is just giving the other side the middle finger cause this is a PvP game. That has its merits, too tho

During the last few EU-primetimes we've even seen that order starts turtling up in their keep even though the numbers are even. How about we start punishing that?

How about granting a def tick not when door are down but when door got damaged and a ram is killed/despawned?

Re: Leaving keeps with low % door
What about giving bags to order for just sitting in the keep?:D
Re: Leaving keeps with low % door
When a siege attempt fails with a damaged door the defenders were successful and a def tick should be granted. That easy.bahellen24 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2023 7:30 am What about giving bags to order for just sitting in the keep?:D
It's all about the difference between a low percentage door and an opened door. In the first case you get nothing as defender and have to spend a lot of time to get it repaired again. In the second case you get rewards and restored doors. Just because a few percent difference.
In most cases they just leave to point the middle finger at the defenders and to screw them over the def tick. There is rarely a second attempt before the door is restored again.
People don't choose to sit in keeps. They have to do it when a 3 wb blob is roaming around, killing everything on their way. That's the main reason for people going to keep and waiting there for the attack. That being said, they are the underdog in this case and deserve the def tick even more when successful.
At the moment it is more rewarding to join the dominating side, roll with them, do PvD and get ticks and chances on bag rolls. That shouldn't be the case. People staying on the underdog side should be rewarded. Same for forts. You go there, try to defend and get literally nothing when being stomped.
Sometimes it's the small things that matters to keep the game fun and more importantly to give a reason to fight for the own keeps and forts.

Geez, reading seems to be a difficult skill these days. Read again through that once sentence that I wrote and try to find a word "ORDER" there.bahellen24 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2023 7:30 am What about giving bags to order for just sitting in the keep?:D

Re: Leaving keeps with low % door
Whole idea of "ignore zone" until siege happens shouldn't be rewarding at all tbh, if you mention "lame strategies".
Re: Leaving keeps with low % door
Would be hilarious if this changed now after year or so of order doing this.
