Which Pve Character?+general help

Hi, Im looking to create a new character to focus on the pve side of things with the idea of being able to play when the pvp part of the game is not on a fun spot. I also 'd like to thing of this pj as a farmer to fund my other guys.

Here are some questions:

1- Whats a good solo char for this end? (On destro side)
2-Is there any general guide on gear-Professions-routes to follow?
3-Is there any bugued quest I should avoid?
4-Is this a good idea? I generaly like pve but I dont know how good is on this game

DoK it is obviously but you would need at least rr50 anyways and VW set (so 4 runs of HV and doing beastlord)
The only real reason is to craft stuff, so it makes sense to make it a butcher or scavenger. Else if pvp is dead or unenjoyable you can auto cultivate in city on any possible char, dont even need to level it out at all.
Making specific char to do quests&PQs is absolutely stupid however. But to each his own in the end, i know people who have 3-4+ chars of same class

I would also recomend BG. cheap aoe, loots of parry, self heal, high armor.

The thing is, what Im looking is not to let a char in a city to get free value but rather to be able to play the game even if the Pvp part aint good at the times I can play. Like last night. The experience was something like Following a wb lider for 10-15min---Get ridiculous outnumbered and wiped----repeat again till u bored.

And yes I do get that the experience may be better if u go premade. But Im new so no acces to that for now

There are PVE sets that are more than fine for PVE content, guess you can farm pqs and have all the PVE sets (hunter, stalker, keeper, carnage, havoc, mayhem and ruin at lvl 36 some of these are available to buy at the PVE city vendor) with war tokens, after the easy ones and upon reaching 40 you will surely need a group to get, sentine, beastlord, valewalker and bloodllord. Beastlord and Onslaught are obtained at pve and have some mild rr requirement (less than 35 which is pretty low and easy to reach rr) beastlord is needed to unlock the use of Valewalker.

Depending on the class you choose Bloodlord and Valewalker are pretty good.

thats cool, 35rn seems fine enough as Im alredy at 30 on my "main" pvp char which has 1 wekk and a half.

So the both DoK and Mara could work right?

what professions should I get? I want something that makes money to use on the other chars

Nah, there are good pve sets like gyps mention its just that you'd still need renown for your char to comfortably farm PQs/mobs/whatever. DoK was suggested as it can go shield, be tanky and sustain itself perfectly doing dmg and healing at the same time, pretty sure its possible on some tanks like BG/Chosen to clear like half of Gunbad (T4 dungeon supposed to be run as somewhat proper 6 men with at least 1 tank and at least 1 heal) solo, DoK most likely is able to clear whole dungeon solo in BiS gear. You would still need at least FS2 so mobs dont crit you and you still need avoidance from RR you cant completely abandon doing PvP on any of chars in this game is what im saying. Being cr40 and 1 RR you would stuggle alot and be a huge liability for your group that you definitely need to farm proper pve gear to perform. Option to buy some stuff that doesnt require RR from AH to wear is not working either, this way you wont be able to finish most of T4 pqs or comfortably farm mobs.

and more about other class choices - bg, mara, magus, sh, shaman, zealot, bo, chosen everything work just fine. just completely avoid sorc (its solo pve performance is crap) and be careful with choppa/we (their solo pve performance is kinda meh, possible, but worse then other classes)

dok is the way, you don't need any rr to get any of the pve sets and can still solo many pq's even hard ones at 0rr as a dps dok. I've leveled a few dok's this way farm pq's for bags to get the gear, do the all the epic quests as they give some nice items at their level and just enjoy the world and lore.
