Can't zoom properly, please help

Like the subject says, I'm wondering if anyone can help me with this problem.

My camera either goes to "first person mode" or all the way zoomed out. No matter how lightly I scroll. I tried using the touchpad but its the same thing. I would like to be able to zoom the way I want. Is this a known problem? I searched the forums but couldn't find anything about it.

Try to uncheck "use first person view" in User settings > General > Camera section.

Otherwise it could be a too high sensivity on your mousewheel/touchpad, like some setting telling to scroll X pages up or down.

If you can disable your mousewheel in your mouse software, it could be the best solution in the meanwhile.

This was a weird one but I figured it out, or rather found a workaround I suppose.

Tried reinstalling and some other things but it didn’t work. So then I tried logging in with a different account and then scrolling worked fine. So presumably it was some setting, even though I checked them all several times.

Well, anyway, feel free to disregard this thread for the rest of eternity or however this works.

Anyone having this issue, I found a fix for myself - I had running in the background DS4 Windows software, which I use for PS5 controller to appear as a Xbox controller.

I closed it, restarted the game and everything works great
