SnB Chosen is great fun. Later if you like, you can roll a BO SnB. I have had a lot of fun playing my BO SnB.

If you go BG, you will you spend a lot of time eating dirt but they can be strong tanks, once you understand its role, in a siege.

Why Chosen?
Its all about composition. Any proper party either for SC or WB should be built around 2 crucial classes - chosen and zealot. If you dont have them in your group you are doing it wrong. That simple.
Be sure to learn and clearly understand absolute basics - here viewtopic.php?t=51766
Despite the topic being written to help specific guild on Order side all general information applies for Destro as well, its just Destro "counterparts" (like Whispering Wind of SM is mirrored as Chop Fasta on Choppa) could be spread a little bit differently.
Thats why there are so many chosens you see online.
However for pugging around any class will do, obvious that you didnt get a chance to play previous state Black Ork but for those who did current state of it considered pitiful, still tho if you like its aestatics (and imo BO is clear fashionhammer winner) i'd clearly advice to roll one. Being bored with it having no role or purpose in serious toptier group content and leveling one for pugging around are different things after all, so 1st i agree is very unpleasant experience while 2nd some may find fun.
BG is a greater class than both of them (but there is no need for so many of them unlike chosens, also as was mentioned their meta spec is 2h and you need 1 2h BG per warband, but serious organised forces also use them as SnB too, they have insanely OP M4 in middle tree and even after overnerfed FoF they are still pretty cool), keep in mind its newcomer unfriendly. Demanding of you to understand situation and what you are doing, if you are yet not on this stage then start with Chosen. Easier to learn playing it.

As Chosen you are one of thousand, as knight they will pay you gold to do dungeon runs ^^
This kind of makes sense, but it looks like Order has quite a few tanks too, especially on 40 I see lots of Knights - does side really matter you think?

Thank you for this, it really explained as well why Chosen over the other two, though Blackguard also seems interesting but since it's 2-handed that seems like a less interesting option if I aim to Sword & Board.
