Is there anywhere I can read about balance changes that may have been done to this version of the game? I played the Emu "years" ago, but I am very much out of date now and would love to read up before making a new character. There were several classes that I liked the concept of in the past, but never felt like they were quite there.

There's no write-up for 10 years of changes, but the best option is to check the career builder for how things currently are. I believe it's missing the changes from the most recent patch though: https://builder.returnofreckoning.com/

BluIzLucky created a summary of all patch notes from the beginning of the server till 2023 using ChatGPT. Then you'll 'just' need to read the remaining ones from 2023 to now, and you'll be up to speed with all that was changed over the years.
