Client download issues and troubleshooting

You don't need to patch the game. It's already at the current version. Put the RoR launcher inside the game folder and ONLY load that launcher to play the game.

My friend gave me a stick with the full game, i started and its the same prob...
Now i deactivated my Avira Antivirus Program AND IT WORKS

Hi I get this error message when i try to run it.
The program can't start because d3dx9_34.dll is missing from your computer. any ideas?

d3dx9_34.dll is a part of DirectX installation, so I suggest to look at the DX version you've got. Since the name of the file suggest that DX 9 is needed, you can have too new version for the game to work.

/edit: DirectX version can be found if you type dxdiag to the command line and hit enter.
//edit: I've got DX 11 and the game works fine. If needed, this tool provided by Microsoft can help you to install DX 9.0c.

i did and it didnt work, also the password seems to be 2big and the last 2 letters dont fit at the box

My Issue, tried the performance thingy, didn't help, unchecked read only, didn't help, tried the lodctr /r command, didn't work, not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. ive run the ROR client and i get this error below but im still able to enter the menu screen with music etc, theres just no create character button.
