You need Directx otherwise the Wined3d which handles the Dx9 queries won't work.Frozenover wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 10:24 am I tried the install guide on my Mac with an M1 Pro chip, using macOS 14 Sonoma and crossover v24.
The .net step seems to work, and the installed directories are found in the bottle. I’m not sure however if Directx for modern games work as I can’t find it in any directory. I tried installing it manually as well (download link provided of the 1st version of the download guide). Because - when I open the RoR launcher, it continuously insta crashes, or it will start and download briefly before the launcher quits responding or crashes. Any advice on what the issue can be here?
Thanks in advance!
Directx for modern games is not in any directory, you need to install from Crossover itself, open it, click on "Install" (should be on lower left corner), now in the search box write "directx" and it will pop up the option to click on "Directx for modern games" click on it, now select the bottle where you want to install it (same as de RoR one) and click install on the top right corner.
