SC Quee system rework status

Hey guys!

Does anyone know the status of the SC rework? It's unbelievable how the queue system has always been flawed and yet it has continued for more than 20 years.

It's not just the lack of balance between having having tank, healer and dps for both sides, what ruins the fun most is that out of 10sc, 9 are premade vs pugs... and for both situations this is not fun because the pug side doesn't even leave warcamp.

the reason why it hasn't been dealt with all these years is because they didn't think of it as a problem - despite the community screaming about it for 10 years.

They don't care - the latest patch proves it.

Devs explained 1-2 years ago they wanted us to form groups. I don't like the current system either, its the number one thing I would change in this game.

Around 8ish months ago devs did say they were going to work on it but no time table, and no details given.

After what they did to Slayer and now the WC changes in this recent patch, I’d be careful what you wish for. Less is more from these folks.

I seem to remember the devs saying that they did once "fix" it, and would only spawn SCs when there were balanced groups.

Wait times soared, SCs rarely popped, and the community declined rapidly, so they had to undo it.

RoR does not reward actual PvP (meaning giving renown in Sc's/RvR from kills) All punishing mechanics need to desperately be removed. Like giving less Sc pops and less renown if you are not in a grp... If you happen to kill 1v2 in Sc you should get 5k renown at least from that alone, but NOPE if there is no Flags you will not get renown. And Im not advocating soloing in sc's, but when you are spawncamped, manage to get out and kill few people, you should at least get HUGE Renown because that is much harder to do than just afk in spawn, but the reward is same.

It's so sad to me that Battlefield Objectives dont really matter in RvR, and Flags matter TOO MUCH in Sc's. If anything it should be the other way around. Most of us here are probably for the good PvP experience. And its sad when you have been fighting and killing people in sc's, but because no Objectives held for your team, it actually rewards maybe 500 renown....

In Sc's the flags are there to provide points to fight/hold, they are not the goddamn point ffs this is not that hard. AoR at least did the Renown and PvP reward thing correctly, because it didnt actually feel pointless to do sc's even when your team lost 50-500 but you got 10k renown for getting 2-3 Solo kills BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE IS SPAWNCAMPED AND U MANAGED TO GET OUT THIS IS NOT PROMOTING SOLOING IN SC'S ITS PROMOTING TRYING SOMETHING ELSE THAN INSTA FVKING GIVING UP and now there is the Surrender vote....

This happens in every mmo with balanced queueing system as the majority of players play dps. Tanks and healers get fast pops while dps have to wait for ages as they are competing for spots with all the other dps.

The new system should have dps only pops if there are enough in the queue for it. If neither side has tanks or heals it's fair.

Forcing balanced groups is nonsense, it only extends queue times. Furthermore even with perfectly balanced groups one side will most likely lose terribly, as group setup is only one factor among many to decide the victor.
All we need is an UI display to tell people how many of a certain archtype are in queue, like we have for ranked queue. Then people can adjust their class to increase the odds of winning.
Dying is no option.

I agree with this, additionally want to mention there are veteran premades out there playing for years if not a decade. Experience is far far superior to setup. Additionally a setup doesn't balance rn either as there is a classbalance wise imbalance.

tank + heal for a group is bare minimum for a group to be able do anything. Of course that setup wont beat any premade, but it will give a taste of realm group composition, when there is a tank and healer.
Last month I played 99% only scenarios tier 1 and tier 2, and I saw many, many silly scenario pops: 8 heals vs 1, 1 tank vs 6 etc. Some scenario compositions should NEVER give a pop.
Tier 1 and tier 2 scenarios are great to learn your class and what other can contribute to a win, any form of decent composition paired vs similar one is base to encourage to fight.

If devs will be able give to code base premade activity - tank + heal in a group, sorting groups on AUTO without whispering and negotiating with others who to swap with who to make better group compositions, and informing that joining as 25th dps in a queue is a bad idea that will be real gamechanger for many players.
On top of that if exp/rp ratio gains from scenarios is adjusted - more and more pops will happen as low lvl players struggle in RvR (vs 40s) and can practice in kindergarden as mid scenarios.
