WS based gear refund after patch

With so big changes without gear stats adjustment there should be atleast gear refund possible for sets which are weapon skill based.

Imagine 2h tank WHO was considering spending thousends of crests farmed for months between crit sov and ws/mpwoer warlord.

Eveyone who picked warlod is tricked hard because now eveyone would pick sov.

Espacially 2h black orc who had to stack
Some ws for armor pene due to all physical dmg and parry as main defense stat.

Now this Claas geared with warlord can be deleted.

Maybe similar situation is at order side but i dont know their mechanics. I suppose 2h kotbs will be even worse that is currently.

good idea if gear wont be adjusted. Unfortunately i suppose nobody will consider such solution

The comparison to the Order side's 2h Knight of the Blazing Sun is an apt one. It's likely that these players are facing a similar predicament, where their previous gear choices are no longer optimal or even viable.

I got full (prior) BiS gear on my KoBS during the ring event. Prior because I chose the best combination to reach max STR and max WS, relying on both Runefang and the WS lini to still reach a decent parry.

The WS nerf is so hard for my kobs which does not have any way to increase parry in 2h spec, that as soon as I saw the PTS patch notes, I created a magus and just posted a "on break" message to order guild. My gear will not be able to compete in any content except (maybe) solo roam which I play even less than ranked, so the character and roughly 18k crest farm over 2 months are wasted and I won't bother with the class anymore.

Something similar though not as rough happened last ring event by the way, where just after event, Marauder armor pierce tactic was nerfed and suddenly stacking with WS, just after I finished gearing for max Melee Power with zero WS.

Many people will not have strong will as You to farm from scratch new char or already geared but now useless Class.
The amount of crest needed to change build is ridicolous. How much crest someone who plays 1/2h per day (what is even much because spend time in gamę everdyday) can farm weekly with? Around 500-700. So its around half year to change gear and try other spec xDD iam bot even considering 10k ring which can be mandatory in some setups...

Moreover timing for such bad changes is terrible for ror too. Ppl farmed rings to make bis gear. Popualtion is already low due to range meta and other unhealthy things. Upcoming wow, gw2 expansions, throne and liberty release and maybe other war games will only make Lakes more empty.

I think idea propsed in this post could be one od helpful things what can happen but i dont belive that can realy happen

Yea i feel that way was close to get 85 on both msh and knight. Like ill try the patch. But im not starting over and if kobs sucks and msh aint fun anymore my time on the server is done.

well they had to buff the Initiative because that stats was soo bad lol. But yeah on my IB gonna have to put other stats talis instead of ws. The problem is most class that dont need WS gonna benefit alot of this. (SW,Chosen magic ranged etc). They were already stronger than class that need WS to dmg.

exactly so classes like 2h bo, 2h kotbs which already are bad will be even worse.

So idea mentioned in this thread can be helpful to keep that kind of players until other fixes come

I was under the impression you stack parry gear on 2h knight, unless you go 7pc warlord for detaunt proc and therefore at worst have to swap talismans and not gear itself. Not to mention flat parry being more efficient to stack than WS on items itself.

On BO i need to stack ws for both dmg and only single defensive as 2h which parry is. Ofc nobody skips flat parry on armor pieces but i hope U know that not much parts gives that stat especially when U need to go for some armor bonuses.

With pot and warlord gear i have around 500 ws so i will lose 15% parry and huge% of dmg. I hope i dont have to mention how bad current 2h BO is compared to other tanks. (maybe not to kotbs but it was already mention).

So generally two worst 2h tanks in game will get the biggest nerf due to those changes sounds goooood
