Dark magic-Combustion feedback!!
My friends...If it's possible I really need feedback from other Sorcerer/BW about how they feel their damage after the patch!! I didn't have the opportunity to play yesterday and today on prime time cause of work!! All I see in threads is calculations and paper sheets but I would really love to hear personal thoughts and honest feedback from sorcs-BW about how you feel your damage in a warband , in small scale fights , in blobs, sieges, funnels , single roaming , single target, aoe bombing etc!!! I will will try to give a whole and descend feedback here when ready also!! All answers will be really appreciated!!

Re: Dark magic-Combustion feedback!!
Feels terrible. Damage is wet noodles. I'm playing SW now and even in annihilator, my damage against targets not specifically built for tankiness isn't much lower than 80rr BW. The only thing better about BW is being less squishy.

Re: Dark magic-Combustion feedback!!
You mean less squishy cause of the parry from initiative?

Re: Dark magic-Combustion feedback!!
Because as BW you care only about 1 mainstat, the rest can be dumped into wounds. So my BW has 8500 wounds, negative chance to be crit, while isn't even being BiS. Meanwhile, SW has also to care about WS (and probably, also about parry), gives himself -150 toughness and +10% chance to be crit through tactics and has less than 6k wounds at my rank.
WS parry nerf, of course, didn't help as well.
Being able to clense self is also a huge boon in the era of wild shamans around every corner.

Re: Dark magic-Combustion feedback!!
the 15% nerf to max class resource crit damage doesn't really matter much. ultimately it's only rough 4-5% overall damage dealt nerf. and with sov bonus it makes up for it. + BW got elemental resist debuff finally in form of RP rework which more than makes up for this nerf in aoe/warband content. as for sorc, it's fine. they were already very powerful in aoe in org wbs and their ST was strong enough that you can still nearly 1 tap people with a good timestamp if you're bis.

Re: Dark magic-Combustion feedback!!
dps runepriest got the ability to provide aoe elemental resist debuff (Concussive Runes). sorc can have aoe spirit debuff already from magus even before the patch (Glean Magic)

Re: Dark magic-Combustion feedback!!
There are multiple problems with this 'elemental debuff. The most obvious is, you need to have a DPS RP in the group. Which is less than desirable and far from guaranteed. Then, the debuff requires for the DPS RP to be on the frontlines and to equip a special tactic.
Outside of meme premade setups, it's not going to happen.
Then there's BW's build itself. Going primary elemental means staying in place alot and being less than 80ft away, which is rarely possible in the face of destro melee blobs.
