Killboard ApolloError

PLEASE DO NOT DERAIL THIS THREAD ON HOW GOOD OR BAD THE KILLBOARD IS FOR THE SERVER

I noticed yesterday when trying to access the killboard the following error

Is the killboard unavailable for everyone or just me ? Any staff member knows if and when it will be available again ?

Very clearly they are trying to use the White Lion pet to get the data.

Same here.. Showed this error for me ever since it was introduced and just started working last couple weeks.

Whops, looks like someone forget to set the proper CORS headers for the killboard api server (maybe it got moved to a new location).

I dont understand why this should make the server less toxic ( i would say it will lead to the exact opposite). This game is full of people who say kill the healers first/dont leave flag/hitting tanks is always BAD and are fully convinced that they are RIGHT and everyone else is wrong :).

Numbers generally help to debunk such behaviour and if not for themselves at least made it possible to help new Players understand a little bit better who to trust (especially in /advice where you sometimes actively have to fight straight up wrong information).

Statpadder will not change any behaviour, they existed before the killboard and will exist afterwards.

Then people might be brave enough to take an engagement without hurting their precious KD in a game thats already half dead and dying

Agreed.

Killboard also helps new players see gear combinations, which abilities are killing them, which class can be a counter to another, which classes are viable at soloing, etc.

I know It helped me at least.

but others will say killboard is helpful xD its just tool for ppl ego with broken specs on private server to make their kd. Many ppl avoid fight which can be taken for run. Just farming weak enemies

It is plenty helpful. You can check gear of your opponents to know what you're fighting against, you can learn where most of your damage lies in your rotation, you can see what made you the most damage. You can see overall stats of skirmishes to evaluate your contribution to the fight. All these thing you can learn from to better yourself as a player. You can also completely ignore killboard if statistics are not your thing. I find it hard to believe the narrative that people avoid fighting because of killboard, I'm pretty sure many other components are to blame whether people fight or flight, before killboard and KD statistics.

And not only does killboard have the PvP side of it, but it also has all the items and quests in game, which I'm dearly missing atm :D
