Hitting T2 What Now

So I have kind of hit a road block. I am now level 16 on a few toons and feel honestly lost on what to do. I know there are WB's running around doing RvR and there are SC's popping at least a little bit for me (US West Coast). But I don't know if that is all I should be doing? Should I do quests and PvE content? I know the game is largely RvR which is great but I feel lost as to a clear cut path to level 40. I also don't feel I guess impactful as my gear is obviously trash compared to level 40's and rank 40 plus and I only have a hand full of my actual skills. Do I just grind this out and accept I am basically fodder for now? router login

Everything I have read says do RvR to 40 for badges but the few WB's I was in I only got a hand full of badges so it doesn't feel efficient. Thanks in advance for responses.

It's full AOE spam meta. Just grind for AOE damage or heal skills. Thats normal thing you lost every sc against full bis AOE groups. Focus the grind and learn your class.

mix of rvr and scs. while scs seem more convenient you wont really learn anything important about the game playing them - positioning, learning topography of the lakes, rvr combat dynamics & flow

Against enemy teams with hardly any tank or healer, anything works.

Som, my target is usually to hit renown rank 45 at the same time as hitting rank 40, so I can be in full conqueror gear in t4.

If you only do scenarios.....your career rank will outpace your renown rank. So, you HAVE to do plenty of RvR in order to keep your renown above career rank.

My general mid-tier leveling path is as follows:

16-20: PvE. It sucks being at the lowest end of a bracket, so I just PvE this bit. I select PQs where I can get some missing gear from tier 1, namely better cloaks, helms and shoulders.

20-30: Scenarios. If SCs are popping then this is really fast and will let your renown catch up a bit. Plenty of war crests for wins, plus make sure u do the weekend warfronts for even more crests.

30-35: RvR. Once into your 30s, I would generally say focus on RvR. This will let your renown rank catch up and overtake your career rank. Ideally, you wanna hit cr35/rr39 so you can equip full annihilator at 35 and make use of final bolster. Other thing is you want to be helping with keeps and zone locks so you can get bags. You'll be wanting the genesis crests to get you some good jewellery and subjugator weapons.

35-40: RvR + SCs. Its fun being at the top of the power curve, so I like getting back into SCs for the remainder of the 30s. You'll have more skills, more tactics, and probably better gear, so enjoy feeling powerful while you can! Balance this out with RvR so your renown rank stays high and you keep the genesis crests rolling in.

Obviously, PvP isn't always available, especially if ur West Coast. I use the downtime to farm crafting mats (butcher/scavenger) and maybe farm some PQ influence if there is something I want. I always use the PVE Instructors Boon scrolls (-75% xp in pve, available from quartermasters in warcamps) when doing so.

If you really struggle finding enough PvP and ur renown rank drops behind, don't worry. You can gear up just fine in PvE. You'll want the mayhem set in ur 20s, and ruin set in your 30s, both gained from gold PQ bags and/or traded for war tokens. Then you can run Gunbad for Red Eye (conq equiv), City Dungeon for Sentinel (vanq equiv) and Bastion Stair for Bloodlord (invader equiv). Its a good way to save crests on early sets, so that you can afford invader/warlord/sovreign etc when u get there.
