Good morning, i was reading the wiki on Scavenging and it says there that the rarity of fragments we get depends on the type of mob, normal Npc's drop white green or blue, Champion npc's have a chance to drop blue or purple, says nothing about Hero level enemies...ok so far.
I read the forums and it seems that Warrior priest is a good Champion and Aoe farmer on order side so i made one, found a Spot on nordland that spanws a Champion and a Hero++ mob , so i was very happy killed the champion 15 times got all whites and 1 green, killed the Hero++ 5 times only got white materials not even fragments...so my question is, is this normal?
Im a new player so i don't have the gold to just buy potions and talismans so i make them myself, i've been doing that on Destruction side with Butchering and Salvaging, get a char to lvl 10, get all the pvp gear and put all purples in it, try the char , then make another one, i intent to do this for every class in both sides see what i enjoy most and stick with it, t1 is fun so no problem.
on the Order side i tried the same thing but with scavenging instead of salvaging and so far its going very very badly xD
What is the drop rate for scavenging ? should i just give up on it, use it to lvl talisman making to 200 then drop it for Salvaging?
Thank you a lot for your time,

Re: New player question on Scavenging
Sounds about right in regards to droprates. Doing dungeons/hard PQs(mostly champ enemies) is the common way for people to farm the blue/purple, still a low drop rate.
Salvaging purples/blues is how you "farm" the harder talisman fragments.
Scavenging is a smorgasbord of randomness & farming curios + dust.
I don't have experience with the WP/Dok farming method but I personally think there are better time return investments even if it means befriending someone into group farming with you from time to time.
Other players will likely be more insightful but I hope this gives you some guidance.

Re: New player question on Scavenging
I see, then i think i will level up talisman making with scavenging to 200 then change scavenging for Salvaging, its a lot more expensive but you have much more control over blues and purples.
Thank you

Re: New player question on Scavenging
actually, unless the economy of the server has drastically changed in the last 2-3 years i'm absent, the best option would be to level up asap cultivation to 200 which is doable long before hitting level 40, cultivate extenders and/or stabilisers, sell them and cover your needs with the cash gained.
yes i'm toxic but i speak the "truth"
(disclaimer: "truth" is subjective to a person's point of view and possible personal interest)
congratulations! your vision is perfect!
rly? don't you have anything better to do?

Re: New player question on Scavenging
Yes i had 200 cultivation and 200 potions on Destruction side on my Chosen, then changed the cultivation for butchering for the armor, toughness and absorb pots, but yeah right after i changed cultivation for Butchering i needed to buy extenders for the armor pots and they are 6 to 7 gold a stack, i could been doing that but i didn't know hahaha, oh well xD
Still the armor pots sell well to tier 1 players so its ok.
