[BEGINNER] 2 questions about the Chosen

I'm a beginner and i have 2 questions.

I will start a new character, Chosen:

- Can i level up and get gear only by pvp/rvr ? Spend my War Crests to get early stuff ?

- As a Chosen can i stay 2H to lvl 1to end game ? I really love the class design, appearance, the brutality of this class in every trailer they appears and i hope to do big damage with this class

Yes to both. Even early-on, it's usually worth your time to run Dungeons (like Dragonback Pass, Sacellum, Gunbad, etc) as these will save you lots of War Crests (and thus time) that you'll be glad to have saved later when buying end-game pieces.

2-hander builds for tanks are generally most useful in smaller-scale engages. (Scenarios, 6v6, etc.)

Wherever possible, it's helpful to avoid taking damage at all, which you can accomplish with Parry, Block, Disrupt, etc. At level 16 and above, you may find yourself in situations where using a shield will be more beneficial for your team. As a Chosen, you'll generally have a tough time competing with a proper DPS class on numbers (even DPS specced, it's still a tank), but you'll bring many other valuable things for your team to the table.

Chosen can stack very high parry amounts too, so you can also use the Parry route to get lots of avoidance. It will just be a bit less survivable in massive battles with a hundred enemies trying to push past you.

Can i level up and get gear only by pvp/rvr ?

You can, of course. However PVE gear sets do exist and can be obtained via PVE play. Now before the screaming begins it is true the PVE gear sets tend not to be as effective as the majority of the PvP sets, but that isn't my point. My point is PVE sets exist and you can level using them. There is a lot of gear out there to be had.

Spend my War Crests to get early stuff ?

Yes. You acquire War Crest by playing the game, therefore play the game and eventually everything else will fall in line. Spend your crest to get what you want or need when you want or need it.

As a Chosen can i stay 2H to lvl 1to end game?

Yes. If that is how you want to play your class, then that is how you should play your class.

Once leveled, you can. A well-healed Chosen can enjoy great success in Open RvR.
