Recently my friend buy a few +24 Talisman for Ballistic skill at AH.
Price was something like 12g for 1pcs and he was realy happy that he can have a good gearup for his SH (we are kind a new players)
Today I am reading on REDDIT about recent ban wave. I am not sure exactly for what reason, but it mentioned that some peoples being BANNED for buy at AH
So I just would like to know if it is possible to be baned if you buy something at AH?
I mean how can I knew that some itmes are illegal and I must not to buy it?

You read it on Reddit? Then it must be true.

Your "friend" can follow the normal ban appeal process if they believe buying a weaponskill tali off the auction house is the only thing they did wrong.

Hello,
Just wanted to reassure people that we were gathering logs of every person who was banned. Nobody was banned for accidentally buying any items or giving gold out to players in player run tournaments. However, if someone offers you high value items in vast quantities for extremely cheap prices please report them.
Every person who has appealed so far claimed innocence. Then we double checked the logs and most of the time they confirmed they had in fact been using third party websites to buy items or progression or directly exploiting.
It takes a lot of development time away from the game to investigate these things when they happen.
If there is an underground group of people trying to profit from fraudulent activities inside the game it will not be tolerated. We have provided this game free of charge for over a decade, and have spent thousands of hours in order to allow people to play the game again. It is not fair that some actors are happy to put the whole game at risk for everyone by engaging in these activities.
Remember we offer some exclusive items for very game breaking bugs for people who would like to practice responsible disclosure. If you wish to do so you can open a private ticket on the bug tracker.
Thanks,
Max
