2025 New Player Guide to Addons

Created a New Player Guide for Addons, as a highly requested follow-up to the New Player Guide! Hopefully this will help New Players have a better starting time and get some of the most useful addons, but if I left out anything or you'd add more information, please do share it here or in the comments!

Great video that should definitely be pinned! One thing that you could add is how the options menus of some addons can only be opened if libslash is installed. As far as I know, Buffhead, for example, needs it as a dependency to make the /buffhead command work.

Edit: Just saw that you already mention that in the video description and the pinned top comment, my bad. I just watched the embedded video.

Is there a way to reduce the size of size of player indicator marks in enemy?

Yes. You right click on the little coloured squares you use to apply marks. You can then edit the scale value.

Great video, Hazmy.

Nicely done!
Found my way already through old tutorials etc. But was a nice refresher.

One thing to add:
Idrinth also has a Client which helps to see dependencies, out-of-date addons and updates them if wanted - https://github.com/Idrinth/WARAddonClient

This is not for all addons viable though, e.g. WarBuilder is only maintained via the forum.
