Hey all, I main WL and im about to be 58 Renown. I was wondering what my BIS set would like at this level. I have full bloodlords and can afford full vanq. What else should I be looking for? Weapon, jewelry , any other gearing advice would be greatly appreciated! Id also love to know what people are building for single target and what their rotations are. Thank you!

Hello.

With RR 58 i recommend using Bloodlord or Vanquisher. Vanquisher is slightly better than Bloodlord but if you already got the ward i would save the warcrests and start saving up for your 3 triumphat piences (belt, gloves, boots) and sov.

Other good gear to get:
1. If you havent done hunters vale i highly recommend it. you can use the glvoes (+2% crti) and the jewelry (2 set bonus with + wounds) of the vale-walker-set.

2. Emblem of Nehekaran Assasins + Shroud of Nehekaran Assasins. These to give you a lot of Melee Power which is very good.

What Jewelry to use?
Classic Genesis -> Geneis Remanat of the Warrior + Genesis Aspect of the Warrior.
This is very good and solid.
BIS Jewelry for white lion: crit annulus for Single target, Armor Pen Annulus for AOE.
Jewelry 3: Sentinel or Triumphant (with Crit or Melee power).

Weapons (BIS):
I recommend using Bloodlord Greataxe for Giga WL (13/9/0). It benefits greatly from the Auto Attack speed (50%)

For Guardian White Lion (11/0/13) i like to use Fortress Chraceaxe. Since you no longer have the 50% AA Buff the dps increase from Bloodlord is only around 3% and makes it in my opinion not worth picking Bloodlord over Fortress. Fortress has better stats and higher crit chance.

Important Note:
AOE abilitys dont scale well with strength. If you min/max your AOE Build you want to go full weapon skill + armor penetration.
Single target (with Pack syngery, +50% crit dmg) benefits more from Strength and Crit Chance. Some Lions like to use melee power too.

What Build to use?
There are two common White Lions Build.
1. Giga WL ST. Used for 6 man or Single Target in WB/City
https://builder.returnofreckoning.com/c ... ,9211,9210
Stance: Trained to Hunt
Rotation: Cleave Limb (if needed).
Force Opportunity -> Primal Fury (not on GCD) -> Coordinated Strike -> Cull the Weak (if below 50%) -> pack assault -> Whirling Axe (cancel into auto attack) -> Lions Fury -> Sonering Chop (as a filler). If you want to set up burst it might be worth to aplly dots beforehand.

2. GIGA WL AOE (only difference are Tactics): AOE Build for WB
https://builder.returnofreckoning.com/c ... ,9202,9204
Stance: Trained to Hunt or Trained to Threaten
Rotation: dont get crowd controled or interrupted when using whirling axe!
You only need 4 Abilitys: Slashing Blade, Whirling Axe, Echoing Roar. Primal Fury (if skilled).

3. Guardian WL: ST in coordianted small scale from solo/duo to 6vs6. Highest Burst, lower overall dps. Lion Pet is squishy. this build requires a good pet control to be successful.
https://builder.returnofreckoning.com/c ... 1,523,9198
Stance: trained to kill.
Rotation:
Cleave limb if needed -> Leonine Frenzy -> Brutal Punce or Throat bite ( Stun or Silence, doenst use a global cooldown!) -> Force Opportunity -> Coordinated Strike -> Pack Assault -> Lions Fury - > Sundering Chop as a Filler.

Renown Points:
1.
Opportunist 3: 9% Melee Crit, 30 points
Futile Strikes 3: 15% anticrit, 30 points
Reflexes 4: 18% Parry, 20 points
2.
Opportunist 4: 14% Melee Crit, 45 points
Futile Strikes 3: 15% anticrit, 30 points
Spend the rest on Reflexes/Deft Defender/Wounds/Weapon Skill
3.
FS4 with O3, spend rest on Reflexes/Deft Defender/Wounds/Weapon Skill

Honorable Mentions: Use your Detaunt. Detaunt is the single best ability of every class.

I hope this Helps. Some of the Advice might differ from other players. White Lion gearing while Leveling is pretty fun. There are a lot of Set combinations you can use. Most of them have clear benefits and drawbacks.
In the End you want 5 Sov/4 Triumphant or 5 Sov / 4 triumphat/ 2 Vale Walker or 6 Sov/ 3 Triumphant (for the extra Mastery abilities).

If you looking for a full Order Guide i highly recommend Uchoos Lad to Chad Guide. Just look it up on the forum. Top Tier Guide (mostly up to date).

I would say that trained to hunt is not a very good stance. Pet abilities and bonuses it gives not only are rather mediocre, but tend to confuse and bug out the pet. The only reason to take it is 50% AA bonus, which is a problematic tactic and not as strong as it seems on paper.

1. The most obvious, you need an additional tactic slot. WL has preciously few slots to spare.
2. AA is generally not a good stat because of how game mechanics work, lack of adequate AA focused gear and because of diminishing returns.
3. As ST WL you need to kill your target quickly, preferably under 3 seconds, making 1-2 AA during the whole fight, while AA speed buff favours long engagements.
4. AOE WL, you will be spamming your spin to win and AA does not work during channels.
5. Abilities and bonuses of trained to hunt are all over the place. Your pet gets a mix of all your stats, in quantities too small to matter, gets st ability, weak aoe and for some reason, aoe AA debuff on enemies. You and your lion get a very small chance to deal a bit of additional damage on hit, essentially weaker Centuries of Training. Typical jack of all trades stance, while WAR favours hyper-specialization.
Bright Wizard: Chandrra Nalaar, 80rr (shelved)
Shadow Warrior: Amarant, 52rr
Knight of the Blazing Sun: Aurorra Morningstar, 66rr
White Lion: Niacris, 85rr
