Im not familiar with this spec. Is this just stacking hp5 on gear or something?

Warlord chest and boots, Sovereign shoulders, Fleshrender jewelry with 40 hp regen, Sentinel jewelry with 72 hp regen talisman. Also can take for renown points Regeneration but don't forget less likely to be criticaly hit may use such tactic, Chosen has, etc. Destruction has cheap prices in general, Fleshrender jewelry can buy via Auaction House.

Hello, im a new player and was wondering what people's thoughts on 2hander Chosen or Mara for a bruiser style dps. I do play mostly solo but can play in group settings.

Ive leved a chosen to almost 40 and am having some regrets about trying to dps a tank class. Is 2h Chosen a meme or does it hold up to a "real" dps class?

Also Mara is close to Chosen as far as asethetics which is why my dps pick would be Mara (I also like melee). I guess what im asking is should I swap to a dps Mara over a 2h Chosen. Thanks.

I don't have a lot of experience playing the two classes, both of mine are sub-40. However, I have a LOT of experience playing AGAINST those two classes. So here's the perception from someone who is trying to beat them.

In solo play, they are both annoying AF, and then solo/small scale builds have very similar levels of efficacy as "bruiser DPS" types. The two seem give up some of their main role (tank or utility dps) to pick up capacity in the reverse. BiS chosen with a 2-hander is virtually impossible to kill 1v1 for most classes, and marauders you will just never kill. Both classes have access to high regen/defense as part of their base tool kit that really makes them strong in smaller scale.

In warbands, chosen utility is very high, and they will almost always be a slot for you. Marauders, I'm less sure if, but AoE knockdowns and their pull are a perennial annoyance, especially in choke-point fights.

Play how you want, but you might have more success if you play for the team first, and then get a second BiS set for small scale, and swap them out with a quick visit to the garden and a spec change.
