Mouse Cursor leaves game

Hi guys! Returning player experiencing some issues!

I'm using 2 monitors and my game appears on my primary monitor fine but when i scroll to the right of the screen my mouse leaps from the game onto my second monitor. It is not confined by the game. I am not alt-tabbing and I have tried setting it to fullscreen as well as windowed and borderless but no matter what my mouse will leave the game when i scroll to the edge of the right side of the screen. Please help!!! I would very much like to play again but wont be able to if I cant move my mouse to the right w/o leaving the game. ((

Whats your OS and Desktop Environment.
If you are using Linux with KDE Wayland, theres a known issue with that. It only affects wayland sessions.

2 possible solutions:

1) use gamescope to wrap it into gamescope window with --force-grab-cursor
2) set your monitors Y axis into offset

kscreen-doctor output.2560,1440

to offset it (thats for 2x 2560x1440p monitors)

Code: Select all

kscreen-doctor output.2560,0

to disable the offset

Code: Select all

kscreen-doctor -o

to check your monitors

i made a script that's binded under hotkey to do that, so i can lock the cursor and unlock it

Thank you for the reply! I am on windows 10 pro. I don't have this issue for my other games. Also is gamescope a program I need to download? Sorry for my ignorance and I appreciate the help!
I also looked through the tabs before posting this question so as not to be a bother. I really miss this game. haha

Ahh sorry. I don't know about windows. Gamescope is only available for Linux also.

Havent heard of that issue on Windows before. Maybe someone who uses windows knows about it.

Make sure 'Enhance Pointer Precision' is turned off in Windows. Its under your Mouse settings.

This is OS prompt, it depends on your computer structures settings. The above solutions are correct, but if you need a dumbed down manner to do it.

Magpie, a frame generator can be used for that too. It's also can be a tool to help frame rate / frame generation if you want but those are optional. It's similar to the popular Lossless scaling which has the lock mouse to game feature.

Unlike Lossless Scale, Magpie is free (And just as good imo.)

I tried the above solutions which in fact did not work. This is the only game I have this issue with. I also have a little experience with coding. I did not have this issue on the same computer 1.5 years or so ago when I played last. I will try and make a video showing those options if that magpie thing doesnt work.
