Yes this guide is unfortunately 100% irrelevant, since then WS no longer grants parry and to the detriment of solo 2H IB/BG players the most important ability was removed from the game(with devs promise of restoring it, I'll believe it when I see it). The BG channel was also nerfed in terms of damage output.
BG remains decent 2H tank in general since super punt and good offensive utility but not great for solo play imho, pick the Chosen one instead like the devs want you to do, he remains OP compared to other tanks except maybe SM or SnB IB. BO/BG 2H will be supbar on destro for solo.
IS there a guide? Not sure one i needed tbh, it's just a matter of game knowledge and what you want to achieve with it. As BG you can still make a build to mess with the ever spammed dps Archmages using anti-detaunt, healing debuff and disrupt build, aka mageslayer. However that would happen at the expense of your parry or damage. There is no optimal build just specialization imho.
If you still wish to attempt this, maybe a generalist build with high crit and regen with more focus on toughness stacking since BG can quite easily softcap the stat without much effort through Terrifying foe.
