[RP] DPS gearing questions
How does Rune of Breaking work? Does it convert talisman power as well? Or could I just respec points and renown and keep the same gear from healing? What would be bis for aoe dps spec?

Re: [RP] DPS gearing questions
Not sure about rp ability names but I assume you're talking about the equivalent to zealots harbinger. If that's the case then yes your willpower talisman will get turned into int.

Re: [RP] DPS gearing questions
Talismans and gear bonuses as well as set bonuses will be converted by Rune of Breaking.
Spend Renown Points will NOT be converted.
Healing crit will be turned into magic crit the same.
So most heal sets will also work dps Runis stats wise. The interesting part comes with set bonuses. You need stuff with reduced disruption to your attacks.

Re: [RP] DPS gearing questions
Heal gear will work. It is another thing that you might want a different stats, since for example max wounds works when you can self heal- but not when your only real heals are lifetaps, which heal for a lot less than heal rp in full heal spec.hordak774 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 1:56 pmyou need just heal gear to play dps runie, or need to buy any dps gear set ?Glorian wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 10:21 am Talismans and gear bonuses as well as set bonuses will be converted by Rune of Breaking.

Re: [RP] DPS gearing questions
There's a couple ways you could build DPS RP depending on what content you want to run. 7pieceOffSov gives a nice chance to be crit debuff, but you can get a lot more damage out of running a max Magic Damage Bonus setup.
If you're building for warband content, generally healing gear will work okay, but you could bring another extra debuff and more damage swapping to a more focused build.
Generally speaking, I've had the most success on a max Magic Damage Bonus setup, running 4OffSov/2Vic/2Sent + LotD Magic Power Jewelry and Cape and Bloodlord staff. I sit ~272 Magic Damage Bonus which works well for me when I'm primarily solo roaming. This setup losses some crit, I sit at 25%, but we get 15% on Rune of Striking and Fire from the Runic Blasting Tactic, which I'd recommend running if you're roaming.
I believe it would be best to replace Sent with Tri when you can afford it, but I'm missing the ring (consequences of buying basically every other set to theory craft) so I can't tell you for sure yet.

Single Target Roaming:
https://builder.returnofreckoning.com/c ... 5,1637,585
Some reasoning behind the choices: People SUPER undervalue Rune of Fortune, it's crazy value in a 1v1 acting as a spammable, heavy hitting lifetap. It hits roughly as hard as Rune of Striking, but heals you for a ton and afaik isn't affected by outgoing HDBs. It's usually ~1800 healing + the lifetap from Efficient Runecarving. Runic Blasting helps your burst and allows you to build higher magic damage bonus and less crit. I usually sit +280 Magic Damage Bonus with Sent Talisman, but to get here you need to sacrifice some crit.
AoE Warband Debuffer [no HDB]:
https://builder.returnofreckoning.com/c ... 8,1640,585
Some reasoning behind the choices: Grimnir's Fury is awful, it's basically as much damage as just spamming Rune of Might. Not to mention you do not have enough points to get it and grab Efficient Runecarving, which is basically mandatory in all specs. However if you want to run HBD, drop ER, but know you'll need to play much safer. Grabbing rune of burning gives you some Single Target Assist, without it you have basically none outside of spamming Rune of Striking.
AoE Warband Debuffer [HDB]:
https://builder.returnofreckoning.com/c ... 0,585,1633
Note: You need to swap gear when running HDB to get as much crit as possible, regardless of what it does to your damage. 7offsov for the anti-crit debuff proc isn't a bad choice here, but understand you'll lose a LOT of Damage Bonus and subsequently damage output. (that should be fine, you're in a wb to debuff anyway)
