[Mara] Current state of the class?

Played back in live and just started playing RoR and enjoying my Mara. Been trying out a few classes and what I should take into T2-4. Been reading posts in this forum and the consensus seems to be that the marauder is in a pretty bad place after some nerfs a year ago or so? I just want to get some feedback of the class currently and if it is worth investing my time in it -- don't want to do that if it's in a bad state and unwanted in WBs etc.

Marauder is a very strong class. High damage, the highest survivability among all DPS, and an insane amount of control and debuffs to kill a well-defended target. However, there is a weakness: you need to press 5-6 buttons in the correct sequence. This is impossible for many players who play Marauder on this server.

Mara in Warbands is decent, solid AOE dmg but usually outclassed by choppa. therefore mara is in general more tanky than choppa.

In 6vs6 Mara is a a absolute powerhouse.

Leveling a mdps can be hard. without a proper party you might die a lot. but this is true for all mdps
