Any tips to improve the performance of pets?

Guys, I'm getting tired of all the stress pets cause me in this game. Whether in SH or WL, the pet simply disappears, walking right next to me. It's like I click to make it disappear, it goes into CD mode, and I have to wait to summon it again.

Does anyone know of a way to improve this?

I use the Pet Assist addon, as the Loyal Pet is quite outdated.

I can only speak for WL.
I recommend not using addons and setting the pet to passive. Keybind attack, stop, and heel.
The Lion pet often gets stuck if it’s CC’d, so it’s necessary to unstuck it. I usually fix this by using the stop → heel command.
I only experience random despawns in Thunder Mountain (this has been the case since I started playing).

Following these steps, I rarely experience any kind of despawns.
