[Zealot] DPS Gearing for Solo

Hi!

Looking for some guidance on gearing DPS Zealot, mostly for solo roaming.

As far as I can tell 5 Vic/3 Off Sov/2 LotD looks like the end goal. Before any of that, 5 VW/3 Sent seems to make most sense as I don’t see much else worth investing crests into (yes I know not to expect too much with VW-level gear).

But what should the progression look like? Do I go for Vic pieces ASAP or save for Off Sov, Vic ring first? What about before Vic ring, is it then 3 Vic/3 Off Sov/2 Sent? And which Vic/Sov pieces do I need?

Regarding weapons, I’ve seen people run 2x Bloodlord, but IIRC, that damage bonus doesn’t stack – is it purely for stats? Is any crests/city influence weapon worth considering?

Sorry about the barrage of questions, and thanks for any input!

I would personally go for 5pc vic (without jewel) then off sov 3pc and just drop lotd 2pc until you can afford vic jewel.

I usually tell lower rank/geared dps zl to go for like oppressor + sent/bloodlord combination and aim to get soft capped int and then just get as much crit/mp as you can. Likely better to get a bit more fs/wounds till you get more comfortable with solo dps zl and then go for more crit etc.

Myself I use 2x bloodlord because of the stats and I'm only running with 2x fs so the initiative helps with that, especially now that I'm using int buff instead of the willpower one when soloing. City weapons are not that great (unless you're really low on int and you just want a weapon with like 100 int). Your only real alternative for weapon is anathema weapon instead of bloodlord.

Something very potent you could achive at the moment you reach 40 is 4 redeye + 2 lotd (that currency us account bound so you could trade it from other char) + 2 random pieces from whatever set with intel/wp bonus. Fully buffed that give you tons of intellect. From rr pick crit and much or less you are pretty decent even at low gear
Mostly harmless

Ofcourse there is lv now and that set even if not the best when you're full bis but being able to get it practically instantly when you get to cr40 is likely by far the strongest option.

Oh right, I forgot about LV completely — I can probably then skip HV altogether and run some combo of Darkpromise/Sent until I start wearing Vic pieces.

I’m guessing other than jewel, Off Sov pieces are something like Helm and Gloves for more MP?

That's what I use myself. I'm not super sold on disrupt strikethrough myself because you get like around 20% with just int and transference. Going above that is often waste nowadays.. the items I'm using either have mp or crit on them so the dmg is quite high :D
