[Zealot] single vs group heal builds?

Hi,

I've been checking the zealot guides, I'm returning after 4 years, a lot has changed since. Back then the default Zealot build was ST heal, now all the guides (e.g.: Entropy and Chaos guide) say AoE heal instead.

Is ST heal viable? Is there any preference for different builds for SC, WB, RvR, ...?

I'm RR69, have full vanq and invader sets.

Thx!

You use all heals depends of situation. At lvl 40s you should got points at both st and aoe trees so utilise both.
There is some orvr gheal spam spec using righ and middle tree for ap reg but that is pure tryhard orvr wb.
Gear wise vanq is very solid for healers
Mostly harmless

I would decide if you want the stagger or WoI and go from there. I tried the absorb rit from middle tree. If they ever make the heal ritual non-crit it might stack up better. Heal rit is just too good because it will proc blessing of chaos, and other tactics that proc off of crit. If you have two zealots ap rit is fine. I would probably say Tzeentch's Grip in right tree with Stagger in left is cookie-cutter.

If you are playn often in small grp or in PUG wb this is what i would do. there is no real difference between healin zealot ST and AOE (if not in some very organized guilds that will ask you to use speciifc build). Heal Zealot needs spells and tactics from both specialization to work properly

RoR.builders - Zealot

This is all you need for healing (+ the awesome ST stagger that can save your life or can doom the other grp staggering its healer)

RENOWN
full heal crit, left points in futile strike and deft defender

TACTICS
chaotic force, Tz grip, warping the spirit, blessing of chaos

vanquisher + 3x BL is nice for armor bonus; armor talismans if you can afford, or cheaper wounds.

You don't choose your Mastery based on a choice between ST or AoE as the in-game description would have you believe, it's just about the tools you get from the Mastery.

Zealot Gear Progression Guide

Fresh Rank 40

You can start working on your Redeye (Gunbad) gear from level 32+, since healers don’t need to be rank 40 to be effective there. Also, take a couple of hours to farm Ruin and Beastlord with a group if the chance arises in /5.

Recommended Setup

Helm of Ruin

Gloves of Ruin

Chest of Redeye

Shoulders of Redeye

Boots of Redeye

Cape of Beastlord

Pocket Item of Beastlord

Jewelry of Beastlord

Genesis Remnant of the Curative (BiS)

Genesis Aspect of the Curative (BiS)

Genesis Weapon (upgraded version is BiS for most; some prefer the rr61 weapon — I like Lost Vale Moral Pump)

After this, start working on your Sentinel (CnT) gear.

CnT Setup

Full CnT set with Genesis and Beastlord Jewelry/Cape

Finally, end your PvE journey by doing Bloodlord (BS) until you have the ward.

> The new LostVale 7-piece sets are good, but if you don’t enjoy PvE, a full Vanquisher set is a very solid option until you can save for BiS. I haven’t fully tested all three Vale sets yet, so I can’t fully commit to saying how strong they are.

---

RR58 Setup

Vanquisher Shoulder

Vanquisher Chest

Vanquisher Belt

Vanquisher Boots

Sentinel Helm

Sentinel Gloves

Beastlord Cape

Jewelry: Genesis (BiS), Sentinel (pre-bis for a very long time), Beastlord
Wep - Genis for Proc Heal or BB Wep. RR 45 off Hand.

---

RR68 Setup

Triumph Shoulder

Triumph Chest

Triumph Belt

Triumph Boots

Sentinel Helm

Sentinel Gloves

Beastlord Cape

Jewelry: Genesis (BiS), Sentinel (pre-bis), Beastlord
Weapon: Upgraded Fortress Weapon

---

RR78 Setup

Triumph Helm

Sovereign Cape

Sovereign Shoulders

Triumph Chest

Triumph Gloves

Triumph Belt

Triumph Boots

Jewelry: Genesis (BiS), Triumph (9999 crests, oof), Sovereign
Weapon: Upgraded Fortress Weapon

Only run Stagger if your group doesn’t have a catch. In small scale it’s useful; in warband play, it’s pointless.

Here’s a cleaned-up version of your line:

“If you want to see people rage, run Stagger and play with a Marauder friend — you stagger and he pulls (separate DR) — they’ll break their keyboard.”

---

Renown Build Suggestions

City: Full Deft Defender (dodge & disrupt) → 3 Futile Strikes → 3 Heal Crit

6v6 / oRvR: Full Deft Defender → Full Heal Crit → 2 Futile Strikes

Vs WE / Gank (Small Scale): Full Futile Strikes → Rest in Heal Crit → Leftover in Deft Defender

---

Final Note

At RR70+ you’ll know what you like and won’t need a guide — build to your own playstyle from there.
