WP/DoKs have a pretty big Armor Debuff now. Also, looks like some investment into Armor penetration/weapon skill.

How much armor do you have? and toughness?

To put this in perspective, I have an MSH with a gearset with 5k armor. I had a WL hit me the other day where I only mitigated 7 damage lol. So either ARM penetration is out of control or something is wrong in the combat formula where Armor debuffs are calculated.

I've seen 2H slayers autoattack crit for over 3k, but no one accuses that spec of being overpowered.

i know this is either solo player or misinformed player QQ, or maybe just common forum ragebait, but i will still respond in an attempt to clarify just in case there are players reading this and falling for it.

first of all, this is normal. it's a 2h class (high swing damage, slow speed) with a 25% AA damage tactic (beacon of courage) and heavy ST armor debuff (vanquish). his build is full strength/armor pen/melee power (warlord/bloodlord) as well and using bloodlord weapon (4.2 speed, so massive damage but slow hitting by default). he could also be playing with IB for another 25% buff from there.

there's nothing wrong with the "balance" here. this is just simple mathematics, basic game functionality and scaling of a decent build on display. this is someone who is building around autoattacks for optimal burst damage, on a class which is fantastic for doing so. you could do this going back a long time, it's not new or surprising or indicative of poor balance.

other classes can do this too, even 1h classes. i'm often hitting for 1500+ combined noncrits (with an offhand attack proc of course, because that is how 1h vs 2h weapons are scaled) on my WH, SL and Marauder against targets who are armor debuffed. pretty much any melee is capable of this type of damage with autoattacks given the right build and situation, some are even able to exceed this amount of damage with noncrits.

Let's see what we have here.
It's obvious that the image was fabricated - we were fighting near the wc.
To achieve such absurd auto-attack damage without critical damage as WP, you would need approximately 200% damage bonus.

The first guy asked about armor and toughness, but this is displayed on the screen as mitigated damage, which indicates a certain lack of knowledge.
The second said that SLAYER CRITICALLY hit him for 3000 damage. In his world, this somehow proves that WP can deal 1770 NON-CRITICAL damage. Okay, proven.
The third guy brought up MATH and somehow managed to find a 65% damage bonus. 65% is roughly equal to 200%, mystery solved.

Conclusion? No matter how OP a class or ability may be, someone will always find a reason to say "It's okay, actually, I can do better", and often do.
Prove me wrong - go to the arena, take your WP, and deal 1770 damage to me without a crit. I'll give you, say, 500g if you can. Or we all can agree that dealing 9000 damage on the forum is pretty easy.
I'm just curious, at what point will people stop advocating absurd balance decisions - 2k dps? 5? We'll find out soon - stay tuned!
