Please revert the fix to box spawn on death rates.

According to the RoR discord, the box drop rate on kill was recently fixed to bring it to intended levels.


While I appreciate any and all bug fixing in the game, the general consensus (as far as I can tell) is that the rate is now much too high.


Currently, during very busy fights it can reach the point where the number of boxes on the ground can be a serious impediment to movement.
When this is coupled with the copious amount of CC that already exist, this can make larger/longer fights pretty frustrating, especially for classes with less mobility options.

Personally, I can't remember any discussions or complaints that the drop rate was too low before this change, so I see few reasons why this change could not be reverted, but feel free to argue otherwise.

Too many boxes indeed - especially in big fights and narrow spots this is a nightmare.. Would be nice to lower the drop rate and see if it's better, at the moment it just feels too much

Yes, people are getting stuck because of boxes way too often. Collision between players is one thing, but this is blockade.

Honestly it not THAT bad. Not every single kill drops a box so you can play around pretty easy. If you move as a blob though, it can be problematic, which is a good thing. So i hope those boxes stay.

Well it's having the opposite effect to what you are saying often, as 1 wb fighting multiple as soon as you start to get some kills in your mobility begins to be completely wrecked.

Sry Knut, but for me this looks more like a internal Retri problem. There was another post two or three weaks ago made by some of your guild mates regarding boxes on kills. Same arguments, same counter-arguments. Other than that, this whole thing seems pretty tame to start making changes based on a few unhappy players. I think we both can agree that there are bigger conserns atm. that need to be adressed.

Suggesting that we shoudn't raise issues we see in the game is...odd. Also, this change was only made about 2 months ago iirc, so just ignoring it would be a mistake.
And it's not just an issue for us, it has been mention many times by both ppl in WB and in region.

Then I will also add my voice along with my whole guild and my previous guild to this feedback, plus with the previous Forum Post I created here where 4 different forumers from 4 different guilds also agreed that their groups have issues with boxes. I have also been part of several other organized discord warbands where people were constantly expressing their annoyance with supply boxes and this change including LNM, Rolgrom band, Mercipounce band, Tegridy.

Those few unhappy players are now around ~100 players that create RvR content and actively play on a daily basis, so maybe it is worth listening.
