It can apply to multiple scenarios, as you are stuck in many of them while playing on your own. I find regen to be positive thing in this game, as it allows having fun, even at hours you can't have your personal healer (and guard) with you. It makes solo with some classes possible and anyhow enjoyable.

I don't think there is any objective truth to this kind of balancing (solo gameplay), so all I can say is share my personal expierence and opinion... and you're allowed to disagree there is nothing wrong with that, as both your experiences in the lakes and "taste" may be simply different than mine.

I am not saying regen should be removed, it does create different builds but having something to counter the effect, in this case healdebuff imo makes the most sense. It is like you said, we likely have different experiences when roaming since Ive never had issues to solo roam with any of my classes without regen. To me it honestly doesn't really make a difference if something is being done to it or not. Only difference it makes is, I wouldn't have to walk away from deftard regens anymore and ultimately creating more fights for me but its w/e.. to me regen is just a "poor" design because its basically a hot pot that you have permanently on..

I wouldn't mind if hp/4 was completely removed from the game.

there's a lot of people who don't remember the alpha days where there was no such thing as solo because shaman checkmated everything simply by existing

I remember live was not quite 4 years, but we have had 10 years of AMs doing it =p

I never played alpha or even beta. Started the day WAR was released. Do you remember any shaman skill functions way back then?

I never played alpha or even beta. Started the day WAR was released. Do you remember any shaman skill functions way back then?
My guess is the Shaman mobility was pretty nuts on live. That with Odjira and you could kite anything.

I think removing the regen pocket item and regen jewelly could potentially fix the issue. Because straight away that removes 160 hp of regeneration. The other regen is from your armor sets. Players shouldn't be forced to run the same builds as everyone to just simply survive. That is when you know something is broken.

The challenge there is dots tick for too long and keep their contribution from stats when you're out of range. That pocket item can literally save you from the random dot mess we got with spreads.

I was hoping the team would have something like,

1. Single target dot (max length 10 secs, 15 with tactic)
2. AoE dot (max length 6 secs, 9 with tactic)
3. Spreading dot (max length 3 secs, 6 with tactic)

Instead we got this mess with 15 sec dots, spreading, and all the network chatter that creates between server/client.
