Help Needed: Making Grace WP Work Again

I've tried some of shield WP, but didn't reach BIS gear. My thoughts are;

You are an insanely effective healer in dungeons. Though with the change to their largest heal being a 25ft. PBAoE around target, instead of a 100ft. group heal, there is a bit of extra difficulty there to keep in mind. Shouldn't matter in the end, though.

In RVR I can't imagine how you would function. Shield doesn't fit into a warband, because it requires guard. Perhaps you can make due with someone playing an RDPS that stands at max distance for its damage, and thus could live without a guard for a while, but:
1) You can't always approach into melee to heal, and in all those situations, you're going to suffer.
2) When in melee you're an extremely easy target for outgoing healdebuff, which annihilates your healing output. You're also opening yourself for a warband's worth of damage.
3) In RVR you need to spec fully defensive, while if you want to see noticable healing output, you should have at least 800 STR and preferably lots of crit chance. It's very harsh.

In SCs, besides the outgoing healdebuff, you'll also have to worry about an incoming healdebuff applied to you. So now in your 6 man squad, one of the healers is in the front and vulnerable for a target swap, is debuffed for healing output by 50%, and takes 50% less healing to themselves. Putting aside all the CC you could be effected by, you are always the absolute most optimal target to focus at all times, because of that extra bit of healing reduction.

In short, it's worse than any other option everywhere except for PVE. But if you really, REALLY want to play it, do so only in smallscale environments and lean primarily on your channel ability. It's the main heavy hitter in terms of healing output.

Has anyone done LV as grace spec, yet?
BS is smooth and easy but I've yet to run LV at all so it's hard to tell if grace works there.
Need head and back plus main and offhand to progress in gear but being first timer in a spec that the majority think is bad might pose a problem.

Works perfectly there. Last two bosses in midwing might pose a problem if you are not experienced enough
