Re: Sequencer Addon needs update
I remember that with the most active opponents of Nerfed Buttons, during the dialogue, as a rule, it became clear that they were incapable of composing even simple sequences.
And there was a persistent feeling that this was precisely what irritated them most.

You really want to keep defending an addon that checked conditions like buffs, debuffs and positioning for you to put the (according to your settings) most appropriate skill on that single hotbar slot you kept hitting while WASDing like on autopilot? Or didn't you know it was/is able to do thatand you take it as a simple sequencer?Morradin wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 1:22 pmMyths and legends. Oh it can't do taht you say? Yea didn't think so. Also NB didn't "level" the playing field, cause if you don't use it you were at a disadvantage, I didn't cause I never bothered to learn how to use it as it wasn't very simple iirc, and only afterwards learned how powerful it was and felt like fool for never using it.Morradin wrote: Sun Feb 08, 2026 12:22 pm Nerfed Buttons was never a cheat. It leveled the playfield between players with a cheap mouse and keyboard vs the real cheating players ... those who use gaming mouse and keyboards where you can bind all your actions to function ... well ... like NB!!!!
The only people mad about NB and now sequencer. are bad players who are also bad losers. People who use expensive gaming rigs and get mad when they still die.
Also a better keyboard doesn't magically give you more buttons or fingers, a free fullsize keyboard from the dumpster is still full size, plus with shift/ctrl/alt modifiers you have hundreds of buttons to choose from just next to wasd. And if you're talking about simple sequences like the sequencer addon being doable with keyboard software, you could probably just make them in AHK or something similar if wanted to, idk never tried cause a static sequence doesn't do anything for me.
Sequencer is nothing compared to NB, idk how any1 can compare the two or call the Sequencer a cheat.
I guess there are macroable keyboards to program a button sequence into single keys, but they wouldn't reach into game information and act accordingly.
Sequencer addon is fine, would be good to have that updated with patches introducing new skills directly.
Re: Sequencer Addon needs update
On it's own, your mouse/keyboard can't do that, no. But it's quite trivial to pass data out from RoR and read it in other applications. Several established addons do this kind of thing (UnrealDBAnnouncer, Scenario Queue Alerter).Keula wrote: Sun Feb 08, 2026 1:53 pm Pls explain how my mouse/keyboard can read buffs and debuffs in the game same way NB did and change what the button does based on that? So, it'd absolutely be possible to get something that tweaks your keyboard actions in reaction to live buff/debuff data if you had the desire and knowledge to do so.
Not saying that anyone *should* do that, and I'm not aware of anyone that has, but...you asked. So.
