Insted of bring IB group utility in line with other tanks he got his survivability nerf by taking 5% more damage with SnB. I mean... I´m speechless. Seriously. This -15% damage taken was there since live and it never caused an issues even with 1.4.8 (RR100) patch, but suddenly it was an issue now? How? When?

Yea am I missing something here? I can only queue for solo skirmish now and not queue for all scenarios like before. Also since this change I have noticed a change from 5 minute queue times as a healer to 20-30 minute queues.

We've been here before, but here we are yet again. Trying to make matches more "balanced" in terms of comps for a game where the average playerbase is so small as in RoR will inevitably lead to longer queues.

This exact, literal, solution was tried before 3-4 years ago. And it has the exact same effect. Longer queues for a majority of players; sometimes even Healers or tanks, when the other utility archetype was missing.

Just to clarify. Something like what we have now was not tested 3-4 years ago. It was feasible to implement something like that in our old system. It does not require 2-2-2. It has a wide range of "acceptable" compositions for teams and will try and make that. Backfill now also tries to "grow" the player composition evenly, which was not possible in the old system. When backfilling the old system didn't do much to try and balance teams. However, our new system uses the same logic for backfilling and creating matches. I urge you to give it a try. All scenario matchmaking code was completely removed and redesigned using OpenMatch as a foundation which is used by big commercial games.

Just to make everyone aware we made some tweaks this evening to the matchmaker which should resolve issues we had during the day (including the enemies appearing on your team - that was unintended). It is looking stable so far.

Exactly, the problem with these ''random nerfs'' is that they don't consider balance as a whole, which means they don't consider balance at all.

Hence you see:

The tankiness of the SnB Ironbreaker is toned down slightly to be more in line with other tank classes


So where are the IB buffs to group utility to be more in line with other tank classes? If the devs insist on homogenization
of classes at least aknowledge all aspects( IB's being much inferior in group utility, hence it was always tankiness and oath buff for a partner).

I know thet there were builds/attempts to make a Healing (Salv/DarkRites) build where instead of regular ofhand you would use shield, and use other ways to generat mechanic. With this change i assume that those builds are killed/usless/gutted?

IB is single target tank. All his buffs are for him and his oathfriend. Knight has groepwide auras, SM has groupwide enchantments, whispering wind.

More and more melee/magic power and crit chance... but still no fortitude for tanks and now even nerfing their basic stuff...

WH here, i do understand the changes to oil, i do understand it was a very cheap way to escape a fight that you shouldn't have picked, and even if aoe can interrupt it, if the class didnt have circled aoe it was a 50/50 on them guessing where you'd move and you'd evade their aoe

What i don't understand now is what's the purpose of oil, other than refresh burn armor and +2 combo points. I know it does fit well in a 30 second burst window with seal which is an amazing opener or for prolonged fights like pve, but that's pretty much it

imo id just completly remove the stealth part of oil at this point and just make it a buff or aoe debuff like less hit% chance to enemies inside smoke, and move seal to BaL tree, that way dragon gun is the obvious aoe spec with its seal being a proper aoe tool and BaL has the burst seal

As someone who spends a significant chunk of their time carrying players through sewers, mayhem pqs, and ruin pqs, I'm a little disappointed in the mentor system. I'd rather have none at all than a verdict that the hours I invest in helping new/sub-40 players accomplish something worthwhile is the wrong kind of help.

Also, IB is the coolest looking tank imo but I avoid playing it because it brings less utility for more effort than the other tanks. Interesting choice to nerf it.

The LV 100 kill cloaks look amazing.

Good change on scenario matchmaking, I hope it makes sc more fun.

On classes balance, I don't get what's your view on IB now. Sure it looks good, but harder to play, least utilities, now another nerf to survivabilty, shall we all play KOTBS like 50% ppl?(look at Woldar's graphs)
Oh and 10 grudges on Grudging Blow... feels like an insult seriously, we don't have time to use that skill.
