Does RvR get better for destruction?

T1 is usually a circus that has never really represented RVR in t4.

Playing solo will suck if you are on the losing side, however I have always preffered at least as a 6 man to be on the losing side as its extremely easy to farm kills at a keep/fort defense vs attacking one. I used to powerlevel my characters to rr80 and farm crests solo at keep defenses with aoe siege but im not sure that works anymore.

I would say find a guild to play with before you write off the game, its not gonna be fun solo its more of a classic type mmo that doesnt bend over backwards for dadgamers that refuse to be social.

after a long break i started in Dez. 2025 till now and played almost everyday on destro. its been really rough for the most cases. been roaming with most big names to get a feel of the faction vibe and often i had a blast and so many good fights. but as that goes by the negative things overweight it. the blobbing is what most people complain about in the wbs, when they are not following their blob. It is an accusation that both sides make.
but damn did i got rolled over by order blob for so many times on which evenings org wb leaders are disbanding because blob rvr in praag is not fun and unplayable. I've experienced this more often than I'd like.

Most of the time i felt like the underdog, both rvr and scs. but many people say this will shift in a few months when big guilds will switch to destro again to change the odds. not even them, just repositioning.

All aside, it still has its magic moments but prepare for a long night.

The problem for NA is because we are low pop we are much more sensitive to premades being able to completely shutdown RvR. From what I can tell in NA jempire or merci or whoever run premade wbs against essentially pug destro. 6man pubstompers in scenarios are villified and we have a ton a resources pumped into trying to fix scs while its fine for rvr I guess.

Maybe AAO could use a rework, or some kind of way to reward people who xrealm to the losing side which would also reward people who are "honest" and have all their characters on one account instead of bypassing lockouts.

When Merci is on at least there's a pug leader like Tyrex or some other (usually a decent Order leader xrealming to help) but its the days when Tyrex isn't there or Merci and the other leaders go to sleep that its really bad for Dest. Welcome to the world of jempire and Gilletz's Pax... dest really is on farm mode then.

Play both sides, make sure you can turbo pugs! Avoid fighting orgs at all costs. Don't play NA if it's an option. You can always swap to order(which alot of Destro have done and now it's kind of a problem). But SW:ToR sounds good too. (This is a joke...kinda)

If you like the game you can stick it out. If you pm I can tell you who might be able to help on destro. I found myself dogpiling on order, watching destro just get f'd up when I started playing and went to the underdogs. Eventually we weren't. All I can say is it can change and will shift. I've seen it and done it. There is a culture of turboing pugs/low geared/casual players, be aware. There seems to be a lack of understanding from some Destro regulars right now but those who stick around eventually get it. Also if they dont' get it, DON'T FOLLOW THEM.

Some advice: Definitely don't focus on the bags and doors. Keeps are generally bad in NA...forts are even treated more opportunistically as kills can pile up fast when it's unbalanced. You kind of have to bottom feed when things are like this(I've been on both sides of it), especially if you dont' find the right people to play with(like others have said, join a GOOD guild). There are very entrenched and experienced players that just get it, will farm new people in their path...but they can all be beaten it will take awhile.

This game feeds on casuals like no other; some players play not to lose and look for these leads opportunistically to get 500- even 1k kill wb's. Everyone lookin for a ****** aka freefarm, turbo, etc. Be wary, get to know the names and the guilds that are a problem.

Other thoughts/alternatives:
Play alot of t1 and mid tiers on multiple characters and try stuff out (this probably has to be in EU or early early NA to be worth while as mids don't pop in NA now)
Play Support and play with a lot of different groups. You'll find out fast who is worth playing healer/tank for pretty fast.
Deny content even(log off)...There are other games to play. Do not reward them and run into a wall if it feels hopeless. There are other games to play.
Be wary of forts if you're not 2/2/2 and in coms. I can't stress this enough.
It's okay to pull a bad ram when you know aao fills up. Do not progress with a bad siege. Try to know what your wb/realm can handle.
There is a culture that pugging is okay...it doesn't cut it in NA with experienced folks IN DISCORD.
Small scale is ass and counter productive for the realm, generally, the lower the population is unless other people are doing the same thing. Right now they aren't...multi wb discord is hard to beat and is all the rage rn, esp order side. You have to kinda do the same thing to beat it.
