I see a lot of complain from players about not liking certain weapon stat/proc... I think it would be really cool if the devs created an event, where everyone could create the weapon they want (like annulus one). The new weapon statistics system is very conducive to this.

This is exactly what I feared would happen with the gear rework.

Meaningful power increases through gear are an essential component of any game that uses gear. You start with a knife, get a pistol in the early game, and end with a bazooka. This is especially true with vertical progression MMOs, where players are rewarded for grinding hours of content with increasingly powerful gear carrots. Now, with the difference between low-tier gear and BiS being single-digit stats and 1-2% bonuses, the reward structure for grinding to endgame has been dramatically reduced. Not only that, but it's reduced build variety, with procs going from something that gave gear a personality, to them being an overall detriment to any gear they're included on due to the stat loss.

The worst thing is that this is only the beginning. Everyone now knows this is going to eventually happen to all their gear over the coming year. I dread to think what the endgame sets are going to look like when you start factoring in set bonuses and set bonus procs. Do you really expect players to be excited for upcoming patches with this sword hanging above their heads? I just hit the crests I need for full sov on my WP, but I now have zero motivation to buy it as I know soon it'll be barely better than the full Vanq I already own. Same with Tyrant. Getting back into TotVL and getting Tyrant gear and Colossus weapons on my BO has been something I've been excitedly anticipating for years. I've even got the Undead tome unlock ready for it. Now? I really don't care. Other than for aesthetics, it's not going to be much better than other gear available in the game. If you try to make it stand out with unique procs, we know the stats on it will be garbage.

You've gone and made the same mistake as AoR but in the opposite direction. AoR had an amazing gear carrot with a real feeling of progression, but they went way too far with it and the power creep broke the game. RoR has, in the name of balance, risen low-tier gear up and brought high-tier gear down so now it's all this homogeneous middle ground of uninteresting, unexciting gear with minimal progression. You already tuned down gear from AoR and found a sweet spot for balance while still keeping the feeling of progression. But with this, you've taken it too far.

I'm sorry guys. We appreciate everything you do and are eternally grateful for you giving up your free time to bring this game back to life for us, but I've got to call a spade a spade with this one, and despite the good intentions of aligning stats to item level, this is (imo) completely the wrong direction for reworking gear.

For my taste there's still way too much gear powercreep and i wish stats were lower across the board. But i think i like the new changes

- Lockout now gives you a debuff with a 90 minute timer (from your last renown gain) that blocks XP, Influence, Renown, Contribution and any rolls/drops of crests in the RvR lakes.

You are writing here "a 90 minute timer from your last renown gain". Does that mean it doesn't matter how long you stay on one side and you will always get the debuff 90m after the last renown gain?

In general I like the new idea BUT Id prefer the timer to be 90m after the FIRST renown gain, not LAST. So that you could switch to the other side after 90m without getting debuffs like it was in the old lockout system.

-52 stats points on 1H bloodlord weapons, but the malus to toughness/armour looks like not taken into consideration to evaluate "proc" power level ?

Why not, considering everyone will be on the same boat regarding BiS weapon choice, but as other people already said previously, weaponry progression is a very strong motivation to keep players grinding hundred of hours into this game...

And now that pretty much every lv 40 weapon is now more or less the same, where is the real motivation when you can just get the same stats with a PvE or influence one, and why spend so much crests into barely better gear overall ?

Procs wheighting is seriously messed up, knowing the total proc damage contribution it's really, really overcosted to say the least.

Also, wheighting on several stats, like crit and anticrit the same looks wrong to me, as renown cost is clearly not the same.
Melee/ranged/magic power and fortitude also look like overcosted, considering they dont bring the same bonuses as main stats, only damage.

The weapons supposedly have worse stats, but yesterday, while playing as a healer, I felt like the damage was incredibly strong. As a healer, I have 65 RR spent solely on defense stats and defense talismans, I actively use all my detaunts, I had help from another healer and the party’s tanks, and I still died to a KD. So either yesterday’s change affected the damage that much, or the buff after exiting the WC on SC is too strong. If the latter is the cause, please go back to normal champions on SC and remove the buff along with the barriers.

2h Bloodlord weapons weighting looks inconsistent :
- 1H got 40 stats +2% crit
- 2H got 121 stats +4% crit

Shouldnt it be 60 stats for 1H, or 80 stats for 2H (if you do the other way around) ?

I checked and it's the case for casters and melee class versions, you got like 40 stats for free using 2 handed bloodlord weapon, is it intended ?

loading times seem to have increased significantly . anything changed ? (0.5sec to 5-10sec for me)
