Re: [UI] VinyUI

I ran into an issue today following Windows Updates to several Microsoft.Net Frameworks and Runtimes. The launcher would appear in my Taskbar after clicking the .bat file, but not on the screen and then disappear from the taskbar after a few seconds. Event Viewer shows Errors related to .Net. I tried many things including a reinstall of the game and nothing is working. I can run the game with Sildurs Enhanced RoR v7.2 uninstalled. I can also run the game with Reshade alone installed. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Without knowing error specifics in Event Viewer it's hard to say but you can try adding the Sildurs batch file and the game exe as exceptions for Data Execution Prevention and Control Flow Guard in Windows Defender:

I tried this with war.exe and got the same results. I was not able to add the .bat file as the settings only appear to accept .exe files.
I get 2 errors when I try to load the game. The same 2 errors with or without your suggested exception. Thanks again.

Looks like Sildurs is crashing because it's trying to use your Intel integrated graphics instead of the dedicated GPU (courtesy Gemini).

Try forcing the game to use your GPU by going into Display and Graphics settings and adding war.exe (maybe even RoRLauncher.exe for good measure) to your custom app list and then set the options for both of them to High Performance.

If that doesn't help you might need to disable the integrated gpu in Device Manager or at least get the latest Intel graphics drivers.

Thank you for your help. I was actually working on that last night since there was also an update to my Nvidia graphics card driver yesterday. I was seeing activity in both gpu's in task manager while playing the game. So, I made sure war.exe was using the Nvidia gpu and then stopped seeing activity for the Intel gpu, but I didn't add the launcher. I still wasn't able to start the game with Sildurs installed though. Also, I haven't done a clean install for the driver in a bit since the driver's prefix hadn't changed for some time, but it did last night and I did a clean install. I'll add the launcher and see what happens. Thanks again!

It appears that the display settings in the Nvidia driver update are not playing nice when set to Auto as I usually keep it set that way. When I changed it from Auto to Nvidia GPU, the game started with Sildurs installed. Thank you for your help and your contributions to the game.
