Hey gang I have returned an now that I am back its back to work on putting together my plans for barak var.
Some time ago I did a smaller test between two warbands of the battle an posted how that first test went to show people an idea of how things could go.

This time around though I need to do a larger test. I would like to try an get at least 3 warbands on both sides or as close to that number as I can as this time around I am going for a stress test to see how it will react to mass numbers fighting but also hopefully see solid formation fighting with movements not just mob fighting. Granted again this is a test run that I then have to turn around an submit the idea to the powers that be so again like the first test I am open to people making suggestions an I will send that info along when I submit the final on everything.
In all I have spent just over a year working on this idea an a few others. Todate I have done a few t1 events which have gone really good for the server which people have enjoyed an people have asked me to try an plan out a t3 style player event that being said I set to work to do just that you guys asked an I am trying to deliver just that.
Now I have to come to the part where I must ask for help from the community who will setup up an help me test this grand idea so if your group or guild is willing to help me test this please reach out an let me know here or via ror discord. Well so far I have spoken with a few guilds on either side concerning doing another test of barak varr most are up for doing it. But I would still like to put a general call out to both factions this is an open invite I do need at least 3 full warbands both sides to pull this test off correctly gang to see if this will work. Now that being said you will need to be able to donate a good deal of time to this test as it will take at least a good few hours to get everyone rounded up once I set a date an time an plus explaining everything plus me having to bounce between discords depending on which ones people decide to use all this does factor in. Plus I do have to work with streamers who Ill be talking to help me record this so that I can get video an feed back from all view points that includes from the community to the more info an feed back I get the more info I can go to bat with when I talk tot he higher ups on this.
So again any and all help is welcome gangs these player events I try to do only really work when I have the support of the community an you guys so far have helped me pull off a number of them that most have enjoyed an its help boost the server. In the next few days I will be taking the time to post a layout of the different battle tests I will be doing during this larger 3v3 warband test which will include ideas for smaller 6 man fighting to go along with the larger scale as an over all to the fight for barrak varr. So be on the look out gang once I post it all up (Now keep this in mind An I repeat this please listen this is not sent in stone its ideas meaning I will be open to suggestions to make changes before I carry it all to the powers that be for final consideration) So please gang help me make this happen again gang all these ideas only work when I have support from you guys. Battle for barak varr Test Layout for fights
Starting location for order: Area at tunnel entrance on the main bridge coming into the city
Starting location for destro: Area at tunnel in northeastern corner of map coming form north side of map
Now these locations may change or be adapted for this test I will discuss as time goes on or day of the test.
Test 1 King of the hill style setup
During this test there are 5 bo points each flag must be captured over a short 15 min period which each side will have there chance to both attack an defend. Once the 15 mins is up both sides will move onto the next objective an repeat the same 15 min fight. At the end of the last bo 15 min section points will be totaled an then the factions will reverse an the side that had defended will then become the attacker. Now at the end of that second round of fights should there be a tie between the two sides there will be a tie breaker fight to decide the outcome this will happen at a random location within the city an that fight will be decided by last man standing condition meaning that it will go by who ever is in full control of the bo an has the majority at the end of a given amount of time or by right of battle if one side folds an concedes the fight I will figure this out during the test as adjustments will need to be made.
Base Objective 1: Bridge
Base Objective 2: Doc location near water which is under the main bridge you come in on
Base Objective 3: Ironclade there are 2 ships both will be base location (which must be taken an held to secure victory/ possible split tie win will decide at time of test) This part of the fight will require heavy use of 6 an 12 man teams to handle highly cord fights while the warbands are doing there part to protect other areas of the city an or port.
Base Objective 4: Bar fight ok for my brother dawi this bar contains highly prised brew from the old days are you going to let the scum keep it an ruin or are you going to save it an break it open an enjoy a round an the recount of tales of old as you wipe a few grudges out of the great book.
Base Objective 5: Armory some of the finest dawi made armor has been crafted here in ages past an now its the prize all or nothing lads an or boys.
Now all that laid out gang this fight will require warbands an small groups all working together an even solos going after set targets the idea is to have solid teams on both sides working in one solid effort to make the magic happen. Thus why I have open this up to guilds an groups to bring there best an brightest for this both premade an pug crew to come help me test this.
Test 2: Total Conquest
This fight will work kinda like the open lakes but with one different to make this fight a solid good time an to really put the factions an groups to the test its an all or nothing winner takes all fight. To claim the prize one faction must take an hold all 5 base objectives this will mean fighting all over the city all at once I will station streamers at each point or people I trust to watch an call it once I see a total victory has been claimed or we will adjust based on how it unfoldes as I am testing this.
That means for this fight you will need the warbands doing there part holding the line smaller tactical teams fighting hit an run fights or holding an taking key points of conflict an even have solo people taking out your leader ship to cause massive havoc within the ranks of the other team. I am trying this idea because much like the old days this involves all manor of play style an caters to the whole community. Again Ill make adjustments to all of this as we go that day.
Ahead of time be prepared to spend at least a few hours doing this gang an you will need to manually flag pvp as some of the city is in pve youll be able to fight an do your thing but keep in mind this is a test even though I know this will or may turn into a full on fight that attracts the entire server. I am looking to do 3 warbands vs 3 warbands 1 premade on each side an 2 pugs if possible but Ill work with what I can get as this is a test.
At the end of the test I would be grateful for any feed back you can dm it to me via the ror discord. I will also post up a video of this test on youtube an Ill be making notes before I go to bat with it to the devs as they have spoken to me about this when I first brought it up so this is just a full stress test I need to see how that place will handle with both sides going full battle rattle no holds bard.
