Greetings friends,
I had a break for health issues and today i came back to the game.
However i have read that there were some changes to melee classes and ID was changed.

Can someone give me a Warband Build and a 2H Build for Small scale/scenarios/Solo ?

I am RR 80.
Please include also Renown Tactics and Renown Skills.

Thank You in advance, i appreciate your time

Save your time and roll WL or WH, you will be better off for it.

The “rework” was a blanket nerf to AoE and not much improvement to 2H. Neither build was really “reworked” in a meaningful way.

2H Slayer is still worse at ST than WL or WH, both of those classes still have better burst with better mobility and less drawbacks to their class mechanic.

If you insist upon playing this doomed class, use whatever build you to reach rr 80, not much has changed, only the devs removed Short Temper ID spam and Rampage so you’re just less good.
Brynnoth Goldenbeard (40/80) (IB) -- Rundin Fireheart (40/50) (RP) -- Ungrinn (40/40) (Engi)-- Bramm Bloodaxe (40/83) (Slayer) and a few Empire characters here or there, maybe even an elf.

I know and i understand and thank you for trying to warn me :)
However can you please send me the Builds i ask that are viable right now even in the status the class is as you mentioned?

For AoE: RoR.builders - Slayer

You could drop Rampage and No Escape as they are pretty bad in favor of the M4, but then again as Slayer you are typically either dead or the battle is over by the time that you would get there. Slayer doesn't have a worthwhile M2 so morales won't really be your thing either. Again, the devs hate this class and you have to be a WL or something cool to get a good M2 (you would think that part of a rework would be to give each class something to do with each morale stage but you'd be wrong).Tactic wise, same old same old. Wild Gambit, Brute Force, and whatever two other DPS tactics you want. If you are pugging, you can bring the heal tactic and AI to try to live longer but good luck with that, I think you are better off with just pots.

Accuracy can be good for big fluffy numbers in blobwars. But again, having to burn a tactic slot just to make you anytimer AoE ability hit 24 targets/viable is lame AF and used to not be worth it when you could spam ID, but that is what we got. If you have a grp with a good SM you can still spam ID via Winds (the scotch tape and glue holding Order largescale DPS together). One would also think that if Flurry hit 3 ppl when AoE cap was nine, and it was 1/3 of cap, that for 24 man AoE cap it would hit 1/3 of 24 for 8 targets, but again you would be wrong.

For 2h:RoR.builders - Slayer

There are some variations to 2h but pretty much you are either there the same old Devastate, Deathblow, Spellbreaker three hit combo, or you are smallscale and will bring the heal channel instead. Some ppl have played around with the two exhaust reducing tactics but I find them pretty detrimental. Best time to bring Power Through is when you have a good 6 man around you but they will probably wish you were playing something better than 2h Slayer to begin with.

Disclaimer I used to play 2h small scale ages ago but gave it up. I am sure there are many who try harder at it than I do.

Renown go for full offense, defense is useless to Slayer due to class mechanic and hatred of the devs. Ppl don't call the class all risk no reward for nothing.

Gear is the 5 parts sov, 4 parts triump with annulus/vale/bastion stair jewels of you choosing. Always.

In sum, Slayer used to be some pretty woefully designed stuff with the benefit of great abilities in Rampage and ID spam, now its just badly designed. Not to mention the rules for Retribution change constantly, its apparently also a despised ability but they can't figure out quite how they want to nerf it.

AOE

Career: https://builder.returnofreckoning.com/c ... 9,521,1472
RR: https://builder.returnofreckoning.com/r ... ;0;4;0;0;0

Why "No Escape" again?
What I currently do for Rage management or think of doing:

0 Rage engagement:
Get into combat -> once I am yellow (25 Rage) I press Rampage (-50 Rage) first time (depending on wb leader playstyle), aoe aoe aoe until I am yellow (25 Rage) again then Wild Swing (-50 Rage, + X * 5 Rage, if X > 5 targets will be hit) aoe aoe aoe. We hit Red at some point.

100 Rage engagement:
Wait for wb leader call to drop rage -> use No Escape (-50 Rage) use 1 GSCD to Warcry / AP pot / what ever then press Rampage (-50 Rage) should take you to roughly 20 Rage and you will be minium perma yellow, then you start spreading IDs with winds and aoe aoe aoe. You u will reach Red (75 Rage) with around 10 s left with Rampage up-time, then you can start channelling in Red and get full benefit of Retribution.

2H

Carrer: https://builder.returnofreckoning.com/c ... ,1477,1472
RR: https://builder.returnofreckoning.com/r ... ;0;4;0;0;0

For 2h to work you need perma red tactic, else its too scuffed. As a big disclaimer you need to know what you are doing else you will not have fun.

Setting up on target: Onslaught -> Wounds Debuff -> HD -> Cleft -> Incapacitate / Spellbreaker / Deathblow -> Deathblow / Spellbreaker
